Boston TVee Model 30 Soundbar Review

The Boston TVee Model 30 is a new premium soundbar solution. As more and more flat panel TVs get sold, and more people realize just how awful they sound, soundbars continue to gain in popularity.

Boston Acoustics TVee Model 30 Soundbar and Wireless Sub First Look

Well, we acknowledge that surroundbars have their place. When you are looking for something to make your secondary TV sound better, the Boston Acoustics TVee Model 30 will certainly work for you.

Boston Acoustics TVee Model 30 SoundbarReview

Boston Acoustics is jumping into the soundbar pool with both feet and hoping to make a huge splash with the TVee Model 30. Could this be the "mother" of all soundbars?

Between movies and music, I think the Tvee Model 30 excels with both; but I'll take a stand and say that it's surprisingly better than I expected with music.

Boston Acoustics TVee Model 30 review

It's a curious irony that soundbars have been shrinking. Originally created to compensate for the thin audio produced by slim TVs, today's mainstream models are now almost as thin as the screens they aim to support. Boston Acoustics' TVee Model 30 is...

As befits its girth, the TVee Model 30 creates a big, meaty soundstage. There are two DSP modes, music and movies; the latter is particularly effective, offering a sense of enveloping spatial surround that’s rarely heard from 2.1 systems ; The wireless...

No remote control is supplied. You’ll need to partner one from another device using the system’s learning functionality, or fiddle with controls tucked under the bar’s grille ; There are no HDMI inputs provided, just digital audio and phono stereo. The...

Junk

My only other thought is I'm mad I stuck with them thinking the quality would be there after all these years. So much for staying loyal.

Sounded good when it worked

Right away had some issues with sub. After 3 months sub shorted out. After checking reviews elswhere, it seems to be the norm. I have been using just the sound bar now for over a year. Pretty ticked off about paying 300 plus bucks for a junk system. I...

Not Happy

I have an audio background, sold Boston Acoustics back in the day. Thought I would get a quality product but was wrong. Wish I would have returned these.

Inputs

Grill falls off. Sound quality is not very good. Seems to have buzzing sound on many different sources. Programming remote was an adventure, finally worked but no clue why. Should have sent them back but was busy at the time and now it is too late. My...

OK, but expected more.

Almost returned the unit but kept it with some reluctance.

Wireless sub-woofer. Ability to program system to existing remotes.

Programming remotes use was an adventure but finally worked. Sound is adequate but not spectacular. The front grill easily falls off. TV sound has a raspy edge to it that may not be the soundbar's fault but it is sometimes quite annoying.
