Bowers & Wilkins A7

Not everyone has the budget for the iconic Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air , but what if you do, and simply lack the space for the horizontal behemoth in your living room? Fear not—B&W has just the thing. The new A7, at $799.95 (list) exceeds the...

Extremely powerful audio performance with rich lows and articulate, clear highs. Sturdy, sleek design

Extremely expensive. Remote control can be pesky to operate

The incredibly pricey Bowers & Wilkins A7 is a powerful, well-designed AirPlay speaker with clean, nuanced audio performance.

Review: Bowers & Wilkins A7 AirPlay Speaker

Still, for a lot of people the Zeppelin's elliptical shape is just too weird. For them, B&W just launched two visually tamer alternatives: the $499 and the $799 . It's hard to imagine anyone would object to these systems' sleek, simple look — unless...

Reviews: Bowers & Wilkins A7 Speaker with AirPlay

Today, we’re looking at four recent wireless releases: Brookstone’s Big Blue Media Tower ($400) and Ecoxgear’s Ecoxbt ($130) are on the Bluetooth side, with AQ Audio’s AQ SmartSpeaker ($179) and Bowers & Wilkins’ A7...

Overall, A7 is a good system that—like its predecessors—suffers more from its high price tag than any particular failing of the design or sonics. While we applaud B&W for moving to an industrial design that preserves the Zeppelin Air’s premium appeal...

Bowers & Wilkins A7 AirPlay Speakers: So Good And So Expensive

Bowers & Wilkins makes some of our favourite audio hardware. We also happen to love AirPlay — so the union of the two should be terrific, right? Sort of. The A7 speaker is tremendous — but it's just so, so expensive.

Unless money is no object to you, probably not. If it is (and it probably is), you can afford to buy two AirPlay speakers for the price of this one. And it’s hard to justify not doing so.

Would give 10 stars if I could

Having read all the reviews before purchasing this wonderful piece of equipment, I decided to hard wire it right from the start - hardly a problem.Obviously no issues with dropping out of signal, and, as a non technical person I can only praise the...

Pristine, faultless sound quality

The way I listen to my music has changed over recent years and now most of my music is either on my Mac, iPhone or music streaming.I was looking for an easy and reliable way to wirelessly play the music from my iPhone and Mac and that got me looking at...

HiFi Quality Sound

The performance of this speaker is first class and compares favorably with my floor standing speakers playing from a HiFi separates system.I listened to a number of competing speakers but the A7 was a simple choice because it sounded so much better...

A great speaker

This B&W A7 Speaker sounds as expected and is so easy to set up. If you want a quality sound , you have to pay for it and you will not be disappointed. I just wish the remote was a bit bigger. I still think it deserves 5 stars

Will not stay connected

My experience echoes that of other users and reviews on other sites - product will not stay connected - continually drops out in the middle of a song. Have tried resetting the device (over 20 times) reinstalling apps etc but problem reoccurs each time....
