Their loud out back but not deafening in the boat. People on boards or tubes can hear it over the motor and it sounds great. I highly recommend these speakers for the price.

My 7 case fans are virtually silent under normal usage and gaming, I only notice that theyr'e there when I overclock heavily (2700k @ 5.2GHz, HD4870 @ ~900MHz) for work (I'm a scientist).
