Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 350 Bookshelf Loudspeakers Reviewed

The 350 is the smallest of Definitive Technology's StudioMonitor series. At less than 11inch high and only 6 15/16 inch wide, the 350 aims to provide a full range harmonic balance while still maintaining a small footprint. The 8 inch passive radiator...

The Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 350 packs a very impressive amount of technology into a tight, rock-solid, beautiful package ; The StudioMonitor 350 provides a stunning level of neutrality, extension, speed, and accuracy ; The StudioMonitor 350...

The StudioMonitor 350 presents a relatively difficult load to drive, and does not mesh well with entry-level receivers or low power/current amplifiers ; The StudioMonitor 350 needs at least 8 to 10 inches of space around it to sound its best ; The...

The StudioMonitor 350 made quite an impression right off the bat, and only increased its grip as time went on. Its amazing neutrality, musicality, and consistency make it a pleasure to listen to - it never gets in the way (both sonically and...

Nice Sound

I can't imagine many people being disappointed with the sound. I know I am happy with the sound.

I bought these speakers based on all the rave reviews and the sale price of $250 ; I am powering these with a Yamaha RX-V765 receiver with discrete amplifier circuitry pushing 95 watts per channel and using a Yamaha YST-SW 315 subwoofer ; I do like the...

I think most people will prefer using a sub to fill in the bottom end

Wow! Blows my old speakers out of the water!

I have Polk monitor 60 and 30. These replaced my monitor 30's when they went to surround speakers in living room. These blow the monitor 30 out of the water! Granted they cost a good deal more but was shocked unlike when I got the 30's on day one was...

Great, great sound. I was worried buying a brand I never heard of before reading seeing these here then reading many reviews around the web. Amazing deal for the price! Just under $300 beans

Take up a lot of desktop space but I knew this when ordering

Absolutly Wonderful Sound! The Best I have ever heard from a Bookshelf Speaker Ever!

Some people have claimed that these speakers sound too bright, before they are broken in, I totally disagree with that. They sound perfectly flat out of the box! The tweeters are not too bright. My old Polk Monitor Series 2 40's were super, super,...

Oh boy, where do I begin with the sound of these speakers? All I can really say is they just arrived today, and I'm hearing sounds from old CD's I never even knew existed! These are the only speakers I have ever heard that are better than my High End...

These speakers have made my Polk PSW-10 powered subwoofer obsolete! Darnit :) Of course this is not a con at all. These speakers don't have any cons at all! The only thing that Newegg missed is in the details section of the description they state 5 way...

Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 350

These little beasts chewed up and spit out Slayer, Testament, Arch Enemy, and Strapping Young Lad and said "That all you got, ya bum!?"

Easily the best sounding speakers I've ever owned. Surprisingly small and sound like tower speakers. Highs are crisp and clean without being painful. Mids sound enormous. Excellent bass fresh from the box. Can feel it in the floor 15 feet away and...

Over the years, I've read dozens of highbrow sounding speaker reviews. Words in them like "articulation" and "fluidity" and other seemingly meaningless adjectives. What is all that stuff supposed to mean? Now I understand all those snob reviews ; Curse...

very solid

You're getting a lot of speaker for the money with these. However there is a lot of good competition in the budget bookshelf category these days, in particular the Pioneer BS22 which I really like. Compared to the Pioneers, these DefTech speakers are...

excellent value, very clear, good depth

treble is a bit accentuated

Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 350 Bookshelf/Stand Mount Speaker (Black

Good looking

Sound is not the best. They are just okay

Consumer review by:

Nice.

I paid $250 for these less than a year ago. At $179 they are a steal.

Very nice speakers. Nice piano black finish. Add a good amount of bass

Wrapped in a "sock". Have to take off the top and then slide sock down to see the speakers. No mounting connections for stands or wall. Very bright directly in front of tweeter, off to the side sounds better. Excellent computer speakers, but still need...

A great little speaker

I am getting into home audio after a long absence.(too many other things to spend money on.) In the past,I've always been a floorstanding speaker guy. This is my first pair of bookshelf speakers. I'm very, very impressed! These little guys do a big job....

None that I've found

Very interesting but not perfect

Fairly well balanced, and the interesting part is that if you position them at your ear's levels the sound simply encompasses you, and suddenly everything you were listening to before - on your headphones or other speakers - sounds new ; Crisp clean...

I'm running these as L&R channels from a Pioneer VSX-1022-K, source being optical from a computer. Honestly, I'm not impressed with the lows at all. There's no lows actually, as far as I can tell. Maybe I need to play with the settings more, but they...
