Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 350 Bookshelf Loudspeakers Reviewed

The 350 is the smallest of Definitive Technology's StudioMonitor series. At less than 11inch high and only 6 15/16 inch wide, the 350 aims to provide a full range harmonic balance while still maintaining a small footprint. The 8 inch passive radiator...

The Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 350 packs a very impressive amount of technology into a tight, rock-solid, beautiful package ; The StudioMonitor 350 provides a stunning level of neutrality, extension, speed, and accuracy ; The StudioMonitor 350...

The StudioMonitor 350 presents a relatively difficult load to drive, and does not mesh well with entry-level receivers or low power/current amplifiers ; The StudioMonitor 350 needs at least 8 to 10 inches of space around it to sound its best ; The...

The StudioMonitor 350 made quite an impression right off the bat, and only increased its grip as time went on. Its amazing neutrality, musicality, and consistency make it a pleasure to listen to - it never gets in the way (both sonically and...

The sound out of the box is a little thin with a somewhat harsh treble. Not bad but not what I was hoping for. After break in, wow. Fuller, warmer midrange with a clear smooth highs. A sub really helps with the low end. If I had only heard them out of...

Balanced, high resolution, not real big

Not real pretty. Well finished but a box. Need to be broken in. A must

Great Bookshelf Speaker

For the price these absolutely cannot be beat. Even at the $249 retail they are still a steal. I laugh when people try to compare these to Bose. NO COMPARISON deftech blows Bose out of the water 10 times out of 10. In my opinion, better than...

Got a pair for $150. What a STEAL! I am somewhat of an audiophile and these deftechs do the job. Impressive range for the size. Deftech claims it can get down to 26Hz which is a bit of a stretch. But you can definitely get A LOT of bass from these pup...

Unreal deal at $250 a pair!

For the price these 450's are selling at I would buy another two pair if I had some extra cash only to sell them online for a huge profit at a later date! I absolutely love Definitive speakers and was always jealous of my Dads full towers and Bi-Pole...

Great very high quality drivers! Great solid enclosure with a minimum of cabinet resonance ; Great frequency response that will destroy any other book shelf speaker this size ; These 450's an absolute steal at only $250 a pair! I paid $280 about 6...

They sound a tad bright until you break them in fully ; This is not really a con since the speakers will sound great if they are spaced properly

DefTech Monitor 450s

Bookshelf speakers have their place, and it is not to fill a concert hall or huge viewing room. If you want that, pay the money it will cost to properly fulfill those demands. If you want a smaller, cost-conscious, exceedingly good speaker, look no...

First let me say I'm no audio-snob, nor do I claim an overwhelming technical knowledge. That said, I may be the world's worst at insane amounts of buyer's remorse, but here I have NONE. ZERO ; To those who say these speakers lack bass...

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot......why make them in China

Amazing little monitors

None really, I'm an electrical engineer at a big name college and threw every frequency test I could think of - these speakers are great

I'm not gonna lie, these way outperformed my expectations. I bought them as surrounds for my home theater, and actually ended up swapping them with my polk towers as the mains! They aren't the loudest, but they are incredibly detailed - perfect for music

It's a shame they're discontinued, at $250 shipped for the pair this was one of the greatest audio purchases I've ever made

Nice Sound

I can't imagine many people being disappointed with the sound. I know I am happy with the sound.

I bought these speakers based on all the rave reviews and the sale price of $250 ; I am powering these with a Yamaha RX-V765 receiver with discrete amplifier circuitry pushing 95 watts per channel and using a Yamaha YST-SW 315 subwoofer ; I do like the...

I think most people will prefer using a sub to fill in the bottom end

Wow! Blows my old speakers out of the water!

I have Polk monitor 60 and 30. These replaced my monitor 30's when they went to surround speakers in living room. These blow the monitor 30 out of the water! Granted they cost a good deal more but was shocked unlike when I got the 30's on day one was...

Great, great sound. I was worried buying a brand I never heard of before reading seeing these here then reading many reviews around the web. Amazing deal for the price! Just under $300 beans

Take up a lot of desktop space but I knew this when ordering
