Edifier E3350 2.1 Desktop Speakers

The impossible; that's what motivates me. In fact, isn't that what motivates all of humanity? The first astronaut in space, an electric powered car, the telephone, the atomic bomb. There are so many examples of people achieving what was once thought...

Visually appealing ; Easy on the budget ; Good mid to high range ; Two external inputs

Bass distortion at lower volume ; Wired remote ; Some finishes smudge easily

Review: Edifier E3350 computer speakers

Edifier's E3350 offers an eye-catching design and a nice set of features, but its sound quality reminds you that it's still a budget system.

Just as unique as the shape of each component is its shell: instead of a boring black or gray, each piece is housed in fancy-looking, metallic-finish plastic. Six eye-catching—and difficult to describe—colors are available: a grayish-teal blue, a deep...

Edifier E3350 2.1 Multimedia Speakers

While the brain shaking bass of a $500+ set of computer speakers is enjoyable for some, many others don't have the budget or understanding family and neighbors to warrant such a display of audio power. I've personally had a set of Logitech Z-5500...

Unique, stylish design ; Smooth, sleek volume control ; Good audio quality at low - normal volume levels ; 2-way satellite speakers have excellent mid-high range

Single cord with "Y" split for satellite speakers ; Plastic enclosures cause distortion and resonance issues at higher volume levels

The Edifier E3350 2.1 speakers are a decent set of speakers for those on a limited budget who want a set of speakers that sound great at normal volume levels. The bass has enough punch for a small room and if these are a gift for your teenager, you...

Edifier iF330

Sporting a small, slick design, the Edifier iF330 is one of the more portable iPod docks we've looked at recently. It doesn't weigh much, it's easy to...

Small, video output, low cost, detailed sound

Bass very weak, sound flat, distortion at medium volume, sound needs to be tighter, no remote

A fairly average iPod dock, the Edifier iF330 certainly has a small price tag but it produces fairly poor quality audio with no bass presence and no remote control is included.

Edifier S730

There are plenty of poor PC speakers on the market, but Edifier's S730 2.1 system provides good quality speakers that deliver good sound, particularly...

Lively sound, great treble and lower bass

Massive subwoofer, slightly lacking mid-range

As a PC speaker system for games and movies, the S730 is excellent. Audiophiles will be flustered by the slight lack of mid-range, but unless you're listening intently the speakers will be all but perfect for day-to-day tasks.

Despite its smart looks this dock offers a cluttered and boxy sound that won't let music breathe

Edifier E3350 speakers review

2.1 speakers at a budget price

The E3350 may not look like a budget speaker system, but despite the fancy design and some nice features, it's still a system that costs less than £100. Which means you aren't getting high end audio here: Bass extension is limited, the E3350 strains at...
