Haier SBEV40-Slim

The ultraslim Haier SBEV40-Slim sounds surprisingly good for its size and features two HDMI inputs, making it one of the best budget sound bar options.

The Haier SBEV40-Slim is an incredibly thin sound bar, with a wireless subwoofer that's nearly as svelte. The design is all-around excellent, with a front panel display hidden behind the speaker grille. And connectivity is better than average with two...

"We weren't so lucky"

We were disappointed that our unit was defective but we understand these things happen. The bigger issue has been the sluggish response by Haier.

Received Defective unit. Nice looking - Would have loved to hear it.

Soundbar defective so had to send it back to Haier. After 2 weeks called to find out status, was told they were out of stock and they were offering us a refund. Just checked back after another 2 weeks and was told that refunds take 30 - 45 days

"Amazing for the price."

Unfortunately this 40-inch soundbar is now sold out everywhere. The 20-inch version that Amazon is substituting may not have the desired performance.

Very wide soundstage. Adequate bass from wireless sub. Crystal-clear dialog. HDMI inputs. Well-balanced and satisfying system for most people.

Unconventional remote is not compatible with universal remotes. No Dolby decoding. Stereo only; no virtual surround mode.
