Really crisp clear speakers. They sound great when used with a sub. I don't know why, but when used without a sub the highs seem to over power the mids. I bi-wired them and they seem to sound have better response. I know bi-wiring doesn't do a lot but...

Very clear. I can hear things that I couldn't hear on my JBL N26II's

They just don't seem to have the mids and bass to satisfied without adusting the EQ and using a sub

I just got these speakers about a month ago and have paired them up in Stereo mode with my Harmon Kardon AVR75 and Powered Yamaha Sub. Sound quality is crisp and clear, but then again the AMP usually has alot to do with that. One thing I noticed is...

After nearly 20 years, the time had come to replace my Boston Acoustics A60 & A70's. My budget was limited and I am a bit on the "cheap side", so I spent nearly 3 months searching for the right replacements. My first choice was to replace the A60s with...

I purchased these as an upgrade from a Bose system. I had also bought a pair of KLH speakers that were decent too, but these babies sounded much clearer. Right now, the E60s are being used as a pair of speakers in my music studio, to monitor my...

Clear sound, very clear sound ; Decent amount of power handling ; Strong, controlled bass ; Crisp trebble, but not ear-ringing ; Smooth midrange that integrates well with the other drivers ; Imaging is wonderful. As a composer and a musician, I demand...

The grill does rattle at higher volumes, might want to take it off if you're a serious listener ; Not as loud as other speakers, but the sound quality more than makes up for it ; This really isn't a weakness, but the JBL's have a conservative look to...

I bought these to replace the Bose 301s I was using as my main speakers. They are very clear and offer a bit more clarity than the Bose speakers. (that is not to say that Bose 301s are bad either!) I enjoy listening to classical in the evenings and...

Product Specifications

The Northridge E Series E60 floorstanding loudspeaker delivers superb audio, whether used for critical listening in a stereo system, or when combined with a Northridge E center channel, bookshelf surrounds and a subwoofer to create a home theater system. The E60 performs like a pro, with technology developed by JBL's Professional division. Equipped with JBL's tried-and-true titanium-laminate tweeters and PolyPlas drivers, the speaker reproduces high notes with extreme clarity. The lows and mids, assisted by the FreeFlow flared port, are loud and clear, without unwanted distortion or boominess. The Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguide ensures that every seat is the best in the house for sweet music and intelligible dialog, or for just rocking out. Since the transducers were purpose-designed to work together harmoniously, JBL's simple Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover network divides the signal with minimal processing (and minimal opportunity to degrade the signal). Dual sets of sturdy gold-plated, 5-way binding posts enable bi-amping or bi-wiring. With the high, midrange and low frequencies isolated, the E60's three transducers can reproduce their frequency ranges more efficiently and with greater accuracy. The computer-designed, lock-mitred cabinet virtually eliminates distortion, and its slim European profile won't overpower your room.
