Good product, but not the best

Although I like the sound this speakers produce, I feel that they lack more power on the deep bass range. And that is unforgivable at this price range. The treble and mid ranges, though, sound very very good.

Really crisp clear speakers. They sound great when used with a sub. I don't know why, but when used without a sub the highs seem to over power the mids. I bi-wired them and they seem to sound have better response. I know bi-wiring doesn't do a lot but...

Very clear. I can hear things that I couldn't hear on my JBL N26II's

They just don't seem to have the mids and bass to satisfied without adusting the EQ and using a sub

Excellent product... clear sound, crisp highs and mid range. Base in a little light, but not in a problematic way, only need to adjust equalizer. Best speakers I have ever owned. Great value for the price.

Quality Floor Standing Speaker

I'm a college kid, recreational audiophile and bass fanatic, studying engineering. I started off building a custom sub encloser with dual Kicker CompVR 12" subs driven by a 1200W Sony amp. I haven't stopped searching for great sound since. I'm running...

I just got these speakers about a month ago and have paired them up in Stereo mode with my Harmon Kardon AVR75 and Powered Yamaha Sub. Sound quality is crisp and clear, but then again the AMP usually has alot to do with that. One thing I noticed is...

After nearly 20 years, the time had come to replace my Boston Acoustics A60 & A70's. My budget was limited and I am a bit on the "cheap side", so I spent nearly 3 months searching for the right replacements. My first choice was to replace the A60s with...

Product Specifications

The Northridge E Series E60 floorstanding loudspeaker delivers superb audio, whether used for critical listening in a stereo system, or when combined with a Northridge E center channel, bookshelf surrounds and a subwoofer to create a home theater system. The E60 performs like a pro, with technology developed by JBL's Professional division. Equipped with JBL's tried-and-true titanium-laminate tweeters and PolyPlas drivers, the speaker reproduces high notes with extreme clarity. The lows and mids, assisted by the FreeFlow flared port, are loud and clear, without unwanted distortion or boominess. The Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguide ensures that every seat is the best in the house for sweet music and intelligible dialog, or for just rocking out. Since the transducers were purpose-designed to work together harmoniously, JBL's simple Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover network divides the signal with minimal processing (and minimal opportunity to degrade the signal). Dual sets of sturdy gold-plated, 5-way binding posts enable bi-amping or bi-wiring. With the high, midrange and low frequencies isolated, the E60's three transducers can reproduce their frequency ranges more efficiently and with greater accuracy. The computer-designed, lock-mitred cabinet virtually eliminates distortion, and its slim European profile won't overpower your room.
