JBL OnStage II

Since the debut of the iPod, many companies have rushed to release speaker accessories to the masses. However, only a few companies have done it right by taking the time to manufacture a product with great sound, excellent quality, and top-notch...

Supports all iPods; good sound quality; very affordable

Limited remote functionality; 3.5mm connector is too short; does not support battery power

You'll have a great listening experience using the OnStage II in your home.

JBL On Stage IV

The terms "portable" and "top-notch audio" are rarely linked, primarily because it's difficult to make speakers lightweight and easy-to-pack without sacrificing sound quality. And to a certain extent, size does matter if you expect to have stereo...

Portable. Quality audio performance at moderate levels. Remote control offers full iPod navigation

Bass distorts at high volumes. Requires six AA batteries to operate without AC power. Remote control buttons are over-sensitive

JBL on stage II

JBL's ring of music design sets it apart from the myriad sub $200 speaker systems for the iPod. Stereo speakers for the iPod generally are designed as two speakers with a center connector like the Altec Lansing inMotion mini or as a wall of sound, a la...

The remote, charging, syncing / docking features and the 3.5mm input make this a versatile iPod accessory that does more than push sound.

JBL On Stage II with Remote Loudspeaker Dock for iPod

Slightly more than a year ago, we reviewed and really liked JBL's On Stage (iLounge rating: B+), a docking speaker system for iPods that was shaped like a small flying saucer and retailed at the time for $200. Recently, the company has quietly released...

An attractive, easy-to-move four-driver speaker enclosure that delivers very good sound, iPod docking, syncing, and charging, and a similarly very good RF-based remote control

As with last year's model, is not portable despite its small size, and therefore confined to use indoors and/or near a wall outlet. Delivers less performance for the dollar than company's excellent and similarly confined 2.1-channel speaker systems,...

After a disappointing experience with Logitech's AudioStation i had to give much more thought to what I really wanted from an ipod speaker. A much smaller footprint. The best sound quality I could get for preferably under $150. Reasonably lightweight...

My wife got the OnStage III for me for Christmas. It has excellent sound, the new version runs on 6 AA batteries or on AC power. It plays my podcasts as well as the various genres of music I listen to much better than the other systems that I have...

JBL OnStage II

I know JBL from my early years of big stereo speakers…great then, still great…bought this iPod speaker system for my daughter's boyfriend who plays guitar and drums and only had headphones to listen to his iPod. He loves this OnStage. He says the sound...

Volume gets stuck and JBL provides no support

I bought four of these when they first came out. At first they were great, but within a year, just beyond the warrantee period BTW, all four had gotten their volume stuck in either the minimum or maximum positions. The JBL web site doesn't even list...

More than $60 is too much

Great product, but going for less than $50 elsewhere. I just bought one at MacMall for 49 dollars. It's a close-out item that is available for *much* cheaper than what I could find here on Amazon.

the best speaker i've had in years

this amazingly small speaker not only looks sleek and out of the way in your home, but the sound is outstanding. we have it in our bathroom, but when we turn it up, it can be heard in every room in the house. (given we live in a bungalow, but still!)...
