JBL On Tour Plus

The JBL On Tour Plus is a compact portable speaker designed with the Sony PlayStation Portable in mind, though it is equally suited to any audio source, including MP3 players, laptops, and even desktop PCs. It's got an integrated sliding cover, a...

Attractive and practical design. Good sound and output power for the size. Rugged protective case. Sony PSP attachment enhances gaming and movie watching.

Bass is a little thin. Speakers distort easily at loud volumes.

This is a really nice-looking and very compact mobile speaker system. A good choice for PSP owners, thanks to the included attachment mechanism.

Harman Multimedia JBL On Tour

Portable speakers are all too often plagued by tinny sound, anemic volume levels, and unrealistically high prices. Harman Multimedia's JBL On Tour system suffers to a degree from all these problemsbut not profoundly enough to dampen our enthusiasm for...

Pleasant sound. Great looks. Good ergonomics.

Limited volume levels. Limited bass response.

Harman Multimedia has done a good job of creating a small, light, and great-looking portable speaker system for portable music players and notebook computers. The JBL On Tour doesn't get very loud and lacks bass, but it produces surprisingly listenable...

JBL Micro II Review

The Micro II from JBL is the ultimate portable speaker, offering surprisingly good audio. It disproves the claim that "good sound comes in big speakers." No, we are not talking about the so-called sound enthusiasts and what they like. We are talking...

Unbelievably compact form factor, Built-in battery, Fairly well built, Integrated cable stows away neatly

Bass addicts should stay away, Loses the plot after 80% device volume

JBL On Tour Review

A roadie's heart in a groupie's body? Strong and sexy all at once? Find out!

Overall, we were quite attracted to JBL's On Tour. The finish is certainly pretty, the form factor is sexy, and the included cloth pouch, mini-jack male-male wire, and AC adapter make the On Tour a real contender among mobile listening stations. Sonic...

Review: JBL On Tour Portable Speaker System

Well priced portable music system for iPod

Stylish and runs on batteries or AC power. Easy to transport in supplied cloth bag. Sliding top protects speakers and minimizes storage space

Lacks good bass. Small size places limits on achievable sound quality

iPod and accessories are the gifts of choice this holiday season. While the sound quality of the iPod with headphones is superb, not everyone likes earbuds, and some even want to share their listening experience. Sharing the sound means adding a spea

The JBL On Tour iBT Bluetooth speaker has four strong drivers and a well-balanced sound. But how does it compare to other speakers? Find out in our reviews.

The large four drivers produce a well-balanced and rich sound

The Bluetooth speaker is missing some useful additions, such as a remote and a speaker cover

Even though it's missing some features, we recommend this speaker for its balanced sound.

Reviews: JBL On Tour iBT Wireless Speaker

On Tour iBT and Zephyr 550 have a number of features in common. They both use Bluetooth to make nearly instantaneous connections with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, streaming stereo audio from speakers mounted behind perforated grilles. Each has a...

All in all, while there are reasons that each of these units might appeal to a given user, the BTS200 still strikes us as offering the best balance of features and performance for its lower asking price. JBL’s $200 MSRP for On Tour iBT appears not to...

JBL On Tour Micro review

There's no iPod dock or Bluetooth wireless, but the On Tour Micro includes a built-in audio cable that you can plug straight into any mobile phone or audio player. There's also a separate AUX input socket for devices that have their own cables.

It’s never going to be your main speaker – or even your main travel speaker – but the On Tour Micro is a handy option for occasional use if you need to break the silence or let your friends hear your latest batch of tunes.

Extra volume when you need it

This may be a nice way for an iPhone/iPod user to hear music or get sound from a movie for those occasions when headphones aren't enough and a full stereo/speaker system is too much.

Little hockey puck with decent sound for watching videos on your iPhone. Built in battery, lasts a while. Charges from USB. Wired connection to plug into iphone (and any other device) headset jack

No bluetooth. Of course that's only a con if you wanted bluetooth. To me, its not a con, as I didn't want it

Product Specifications

The stereo mini jack connection allows you to enjoy high quality audio from a variety of devices such as iPod, iPod mini, MP3 and CD players, desktop computers (all platforms), laptops and most portable devices. Touch Volume Control - Just a touch increases or decrease the volume. A touch on both pads mutes or un-mutes the system. JBL On Tour also remembers your last volume setting even after the system shuts down. Integrated protective Cover and Stand. The sliding cover protects your sound system and serves as a stand when open. The surface gripping rubber feet provide a stable platform on most surfaces. A universal AC adapter allows for easy worldwide use. An audio input cable is also included. The JBL On Tour combines many proprietary technologies to provide the highest quality sound and playing time. The JBL On Tour will provide astonishing bass and clear accurate sound from a pocket-sized system. The Class D digital amplifiers provide clean, powerful sound while extending battery life. The two aluminum-domed transducers are driven by powerful Neodymium magnets. This design provides a full rich frequency response from the lowest bass to the highest highs. COE (Computer Optimized Equalization) - The JBL On Tour system equalization was computer optimized to provide a rich, complete sound stage. The JBL On Tour system has an automatic battery saving shutoff. The AEMS (Advanced Energy Management System) will automatically put the system into sleep mode when the cover is closed or when there is no audio input. The JBL On Tour awakens with just a touch and resumes at the same volume level when the cover is opened or the input resumes. The JBL On Tour is designed to use most types of AAA batteries. Four fresh AAA batteries provide over 24 hours of continuous play at normal to high listening levels. An amber LED flashes when the battery protection circuit senses the batteries are low. JBL encourages the use of rechargeable types of batteries (i.e. NiMH and Lithium). These batteries reduce waste and help the environment.
