To keep things short, I can't quite believe that this makes as much difference as it does. SCART connection a huge improvement over the horrid SCART adapter that comes with the X-Box and the digital optical cable into an A/V 5.1 amp is just excellent.

This is a good solid cable, and plenty long enough for most uses. I haven't tried the Microsoft cable, but this one does the job very well at less cost.
