Klipsch iGroove HG

Good sound quality. Attractive design. Strong output power. J-cup adapter for non-Apple MP3 players gives it aesthetic versatility.

No battery operation. No tone controls. No volume indicator.

The iGroove HG costs less than the Bose SoundDock, but it doesn't quite sound as good. It does have a couple of nice touches, though, and strong output.

Klipsch iGroove review: Klipsch iGroove

Klipsch iGroove

Stylish iPod speaker system; stereo, two-way speakers; cute remote; charges connected iPod; line-in support lets you use non-iPod music players as well.

Not in the same league as Klipsch's mighty iPod speaker set, the iFi.

Klipsch's new iGroove iPod speaker trumps the competition's tweeterless models.

Klipsch iGroove All-in-One Digital Music…

A solid all-in-one speaker system with unique styling, a remote control, an adapter for non-docking audio devices, and a slightly lower-than-Bose SoundDock price. Smooth sound, good bass, and relatively low distortion at higher volume levels.

Some amplifier hiss evident in acapella tracks and/or at close distances. Remote control isn’t the best we’ve seen in an all-in-one system, even by Infrared standards, achieving around half the distance of SoundDock’s. Size is comparable to iM7’s, and...

Klipsch iGroove System

Let's face it, i-anything is pretty hot now that the iPod has become the fastest-growing product in consumer electronics. Sales of MP3 players shot up by 255 percent during the first eight months of 2005, and you can bet Apple's smallest and prettiest...

Klipsch iGroove

"Big sound" portable speaker systems for the iPod are booming these days. Not so long ago, we had only the Bose SoundDock to choose from, but now Altec Lansing and Klipsch have gotten into the act, with more to come in 2006. These speaker systems...

Great clarity and colorless reproduction of music. Big enough sound to fill a large room. Attractive design and useful integrated carry handle. Can be used with other portable music players that have a standard 3.5mm stereo out jack

Can only be run on AC, not batteries

Pure music. Loud music. Great dynamic range. That's the iGroove. While these speakers can't compete with a good home stereo system, they will beat the pants off of ultra-portables and most computer speakers. They hold their own against the Bose...

Defying the Laws of Physics: Klipsch iGroove Speaker System

Klipsch has been building horn-driven speakers since 1946. The company has taken its wealth of knowledge about highly efficient speaker design and condensed it into an improbably small package which it calls the iGroove Speaker System ($249). It's made...

As soon as I plugged in the iGroove and placed my iPod nano into its docking area, it was ready to go. With a quick push of the power button, the sound sprang to life, with the bass thumping impressively and sounding tight with no sign of boominess....
