Fantastic sound and solid quality

If you don't want to spend more than twice as much on the RC-64 you will not be disappointed. This is a great performer. I have it paired with an Onkyo TX-NR809, 2x RF-82 II, 2x RS-52 II and a BIC Acoustec PL-200 sub.

Crisp and clear sound ; Dialogue is clean and handles all the on-screen action without getting muddy ; Solid and heavy ; I like the magnetic fasteners for the grill

It is not the RC-64 ;)

fantastic center channel

I must say that I am very happy with this Klipsch center channel, I am powering it off an Onkyo 876 which puts out 140 watts per channel and the speaker sings, I get all the detail in the world and it handles the male voice like a pro. I was alittle...

Powerful Center Channel!

As of this review Ive put a few days of DVD, Blu-Ray, CD, and SACD use on this channel. Most has been medium to low volume, but I am already *very* impressed with this speaker. The horn tweeter merged seamlessly with my F-3 floorstanders, and the...

Klipsch RC-62

I love this speaker!!! I got it to pair with my RF-82's and it does a great job. I had originally used a RC-52 but the RC52 couldn't quite keep up with the RF82. I replaced the RC52 with the RC62 and immediately heard the difference. Bass was deeper,...

Klipsch RC-62II (black)

Couldn't ask for more in a center speaker...realism, transparency, beauty and everything else I was after. It fills in everything, not just the dialog that was missing before.. Right now I'm listening to Diana Krall on multichannel SACD and its like...

Klipsch RC-62II (black)

Never ever was I into multi channel surround sound untill I purchased this monster along with it's matching siblings, the RF 83, and RS 62. The dialog that comes out of this beast matches my RF 83 to the point that I can put in a Blu Ray and switch...

Product Specifications

Exclusive Tractrix Horns have always been the key component of this critically acclaimed series. In the RC-62, this technology has been refined to include improved throat geometry for a more genuine, lifelike sound. Behind the horn lies a 1-inch titanium tweeter with a large ceramic motor structure to provide a unique combination of precision, clarity and effortless power. The RC-62 employs dual 6.5-inch woofers for a solid bass foundation. These Cerametallic woofers with inverted copper dust caps exhibit a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and superb damping characteristics. Klipsch Tapered Array technology operates both woofers at the lowest frequencies - maintaining the high output capability necessary for good center channel performance - but only one operates all the way through the midrange to where the tweeter takes over. This eliminates acoustic interference between the woofer outputs, a flaw in conventional speaker designs that can severely impair sound quality at the sides of the listening area. The RC-62's rigid cabinet offers improved internal cross-bracing to minimize panel vibrations that can color sound. Twin front-firing ports eliminate turbulence noise, while increased baffle ribbing around the horn mouth dramatically improves acoustics across the sonic range. For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the crossover on the RC-62 features the finest components and Klipsch custom internal wiring. Available in either a cherry or black woodgrain vinyl finish, the fully video-shielded RC-62 comes with a low-diffraction, magnetically attached grille to further accentuate the elegance of this speaker.
