Logitech Z506 review

Audiophiles are quick to name the umpteen flavors of Dolby, but at the risk of oversimplifying things a tad, there are just three types of surround sound today -- each easily identified by their plug. Virtual surround uses just simple stereo jacks,...

Inexpensive ; Color-coded cables ; Quality sound

Fewer features than predecessor ; No wall mounting ; Analog input only

Logitech Pure-Fi Dream

Logitech's Pure-Fi Dream leads the pack in alarm clock/iPod docks.

Powerful speakers. Strong bass response. Rarely distorts. Easy-to-set alarms. Useful, backlit remote. Motion-controlled snooze feature.

Works with iPhone, but not as gracefully as other docks. No video out.

Logitech's intuitively designed, good-looking, and excellent-sounding Pure-Fi Dream leads the pack in alarm clock/iPod docks.

Logitech Z205

Portability and price and are just two of the many incentives for mobile professionals to ditch a clunky laptop in favor of a sexy, slim Netbook, but one issue still remains: no matter what their size, laptop speakers generally don't produce the volume...

Simple setup with clip-on stabilization; USB-powered; adequate sound quality; compatible with PCs and Macs; inexpensive.

Fixed angle; 3.5mm external audio cable not included.

The Logitech Z205 USB-powered speakers are an easy, inexpensive tool for mobile music lovers to increase volume levels and enjoy better sound quality on the run.

Logitech Z506 5.1 Speakers Review

At their release, Logitech's X-540 5.1 speakers were a hit, thanks to their affordable price and feature-set. In fact, our review from five years ago is still regularly read today. So what about their successor, the Z506? Carrying the same $99 price...

Testing a surround sound set can be a little more tricky than it first appears. Accurate surround sound is a complicated affair, balancing volume, speaker direction and placement. The audio card and media also play an important role in the final results.

Logitech Laptop Speaker Z205 Review

Today I am looking at the new Logitech Laptop Speaker Z205. This small speaker system is designed to clip onto a laptop screen and provides better sound than the integrated speakers provide. The Logitech Laptop Speaker Z205 is a nice little speaker,...

Review: Logitech Pure-Fi Dream

It's here that Dream runs into its major problems. When we first saw the unit a year ago, we told Logitech that we weren't fond of the design, which had an odd shape and placed a little amber-colored clock below the iPod dock rather than using a larger...

There's one other sort of nice thing about Dream: there aren't any external radio antennas. Instead, the back has a single audio port, designed for auxiliary audio input, and the only things you need to connect are the power supply-which is quite...

Logitech Z-3 2.1 Speakers

While PC system manufacturers have routinely included speakers as part of the package, the quality and reliability of the provided audio units has been spotty at best. Those who desire a more robust, fulfilling sound and those of us in the DIY sector...

Logitech Laptop Speaker Z205

Simplicity. That's what Logitech is delivering primarily with the Laptop Speaker Z205, a one-piece stereo system that apes a scaled-down sound bar specifically for notebooks and netbooks. Positively, the Z205's audio output is quite good...

I tested using an IBM ThinkPad T40 and Acer Aspire 5515 with various audio tracks, Web videos, DVD flicks, and streaming Netflix movies. In terms of volume strength, the Z205 was vastly superior to both notebooks' speakers. Bass was sorely...

Solid speakers for a budget

Out of the box, I noticed weak output on the mid and high ranges, and did a little experimentation with some output configurations. This set has the potential to output very good audio quality when combined with the right software (personally, I use...

This set has warm bass, long cables for the satellite speakers, and is priced super low

None for me (read below)

Excellent speaker system

I bought myself one and the sound sounds fantastic when I watch an episode of Home and Away like you are at the movies because it is in true 5.1 surround sound.

The Speakers are very loud and clear and has good bass also it makes the floor shake and the windows rattle

You can't use these in your laptop so you have to get a Creaitve USB 2.0 Sound Blaster X-FI Surround
