Mackie MR5MK2 Active Studio Monitor Review

Forget everything you might have known about the original Mackie MR5 studio monitor (introduced in 2008). The new MR5mk2 is a whole other ballgame. Among the many design changes, the updated two-way, bi-amplified monitor shows off an all-new silk-dome...

Great for digital piano

I strongly suggest you use a mixer to get the right sound. These are highly capable studio monitors and a mixer will allow you to take full advantage of what they can do. If you are on the fence, buy them. You will not be disappointed.

They sound great with a digital piano! However, they are VERY bass heavy, but tight. I cant believe the bass coming from this 5" studio monitor. No need for a subwoofer whatsoever. Amazing for the price

not really a con, but the bass might be too heavy or boomy for some. Again, not a con if you adjust it to your preference
