Great Powered Speakers

Great Powered Speakers

Bought these for my elementary school. They sound great in a very non-musically acoustical, square cinder-block cafeteria. SO, so, much better than the garbage speakers they used 30 years prior.

You get what you pay for

While the SRM-450V2s are not inexpensive, they do deliver quality sound. I used 2 of these for an outdoor gig and the music output was evenly dispersed with clear highs and mids and with punchy bass. My only regret was that some of the MP3s I played...

SRM450v2 are Little Monsters

SRM450v2 are Little Monsters

I bought these two SRM450v2 with doubts about their power, I used them for a crowd of 250 people, the level was 3/4 of the way along with a powerful subwoofer, and they were amazing with a very clear sound. The weight of these speakers are 40 lbs....

Superb speaker

Superb speaker

I have DJ'd with these speakers for the past 3 years. They are an awesome set of speakers. You can go from a small venue to a large ballroom and they sound great! They are small and lightweight which makes them ideal for the "mobile" DJ. Bass is punchy...

Incredible!

Incredible!

I have a pair of these and they sound so clear, and with precise accuracy and distortion-free. I have these in a small to meduim size building and the sound is superb. I hooked a mixer to these so I could run music out to them and the bass tones are...

Overheating still a problem

Bought these in Novermber 2008 and now they keep cutting out due to overheating. Great sound quality but reliability a big problem for this once great brand - stay away!

Don't own personally but use regularly

I run an open mic night and we get a wide variey of sounds to deal with. These reproduce the sound beautifully at considerable volume (though we don't push them as hard as a full-band gig might). I've never had the problem as described before with...

Product Specifications

Forget about what other small PA speakers sound like. Especially forget what so-called "powered" speakers sound like. The active SRM450 is that different. It has tight, steel-fisted bass to below 55Hz and detailed, articulate treble out to 20,000Hz. Midrange is warm, natural, and free from ear-fatiguing harshness. The SRM450 has astonishingly wide dispersion that lets your whole audience hear clearly, whether they're in the front, back, or way out on the sides of the room. And above all, the SRM450 cranks! Without a hint of distortion, it effortlessly achieves sound pressure levels that would melt conventional speakers into a pile of molten slag. Features: 2-way bi-amplified, optimized active system - no external power amplifier needed! Built-in monolithic FR Series? 300 watt RMS bass & 100 watt RMS mid/high amplifiers Built-in precision 24dB/oct.
