MartinLogan Dynamo 1000w

What's in a name? In the case of the MartinLogan Dynamo 1000w subwoofer, there's quite a bit: MartinLogan is best known in audio circles as a manufacturer of high-performance electrostatic speakers, but in recent years its subwoofers have earned...

Exceptionally musical ; Tight, fast and deep bass response ; Capable of above-average SPLs ; Wireless capability included ; Convertible from down-firing to forward-firing

Expensive ; Not as gut wrenching as some more expensive, ported options

This is one of those few subwoofers that can nimbly navigate the divide between the nuanced music performance and explosive movie tracks and successfully meet the demands for both.

MartinLogan Dynamo

Every time I hear the word Dynamo I can't help but remember with considerable affection the late great Frank Zappa whose song Dynamo Hum must go down in the annals of music as one of the funniest ever (and until recent times one of the rudest). Not...

MartinLogan Dynamo 300

For the money, this sub produces a fantastically clear, quality sound that compliments my bedroom system nicely.

I just bought this sub to use in my bedroom with an Energy Take 5 system and a Yamaha V373 receiver. After watching a movie, and playing several different genres of music, I have decided that this sub was exactly what I wanted. At only half volume,...

This sub did not come with a subwoofer cable to attach it to the receiver. Luckily I had one

Incredible Sounding Sub!

For those who want clean tight musical bass, a quality 8" sub is an excellent choice. I use it through the preamp output of a 85-watt Peachtree Nova stereo amplifier to the RCA inputs of the sub. It is currently being used with Polk Model 70's and...

Great Subwoofer!

I was trying to decide between this and the Bowers and Wilkins 10". Listened to them side by side and this was the clear winner. It sounds great for music and especially action movies and it is $150 cheaper than the Bowers and Wilkins.
