Maxell MXSP-SB3000

Up close it looks a bit like an MDF project your dad knocked together in the 1980s but, given the price tag, Maxell's MXSP-SB3000 has an awful lot going for it in terms of its spec. Its size and strength mean it will accommodate huge TVs up to 80kg in...

Maxell MXSP-SB3000 Soundbar review - Pocket-lint

Soundbars are one thing, but TV speaker bases are the latest trend in affordable home cinema sound. The Maxell MXSP-SB3000 Soundbar is a giant under-the-telly

Decent push in sound, can support 80kgs, built-in sub adds bass, affordable, Bluetooth for music, lots of inputs

It's really huge, audio not as distinct as separates, limitations to bass/treb adjustment, inputs tucked away

When we first lugged the Maxell MXSP-SB3000 Soundbar out of its considerable box, we were surprised by how big it was. In our setup it fitted in just fine, but in plenty of others it won't be suitable - and that's one of the things that will cost this...

Maxell MXSP-SB3000

An enjoyable performance and impressive features for the price, this Maxell soundbase is well worth your attention

Crisp and clear sound ; Expressive, focused midrange ; Easygoing and pleasant to listen to ; Good tonal balance ; Great set of connections ; Informative display ; Decent price

Too large for most living rooms ; Rivals sound subtler, punchier and more dynamic

Its size might be ludicrous, but that excellent feature count and affordable price is hard to ignore. Most of all, we just really liked listening to the Maxell MXSP-SB3000.

Sound crisp and clear, perfect for the price

I bought the sound bar about two weeks ago, quite big but the way it curves and I must confess looks more expensive than any other sound bar on the market. Delivered in perfect time from Tescos and in excellent packaging. It fits nicely under my 50 ins...

Top Sound - Top Value

Did the usual internet trawling and found this soundbar/base on Trusted Reviews, whilst checking out another similar device. TR really rated it and after finding it on Tesco Direct for £139 and as it was for the bed room TV, I thought it was worth the...

Sound upgrade over standard TV

Bought this item a couple of weeks ago after reading some good reviews. Overall a pretty good product with lots of connections. Quite large but has a clear sound that is big improvement over the sound from TV. Highly recommended at this price.

Better than you might think

People have said it's not much better than the TV speakers but they probably haven't played with the settings or given it time to settle in. It will not give you surround sound or the full bass of a seperate subwoofer but it does reinforce the sound...

Good sound quality and a sleek modern design

My choice of the Maxell was because of the sound quality and its modern design; it seems less obtrusive under the TV as opposed to the long sound bars in front, also having an integrated Sub-woofer means less wires and an extra speaker behind my 42\

Excellent product with a great sound and features

Really good sound and works seamlessly for TV via HDMI connection and a Sky+ remote control. Blu tooth works fine also. The usb connection can be used for charging in standby mode which is useful. It can not be used as an input though.\nOverall I am...
