The Altec Lansing's inMotion SoundBlade is a razor-thin speaker system designed for use with A2DP-enabled mobile phones.
Design, build quality, doubles as a speakerphone, line-in jack
Needs six batteries to run, can't connect wired and Bluetooth devices simultaneously, no way to turn off Trubass, no equaliser options
It doesn't offer outstanding sound quality, but the design and functionality of the Altec Lansing inMotion SoundBlade make it a decent choice if you're looking for a wireless speaker system.

THE Fiio S3 is a portable speaker that is easy to transport and it provides a welcome volume boost to the internal speakers of laptops, iPods and other MP3 players.
Slim design, easily transported, SDHC slot, good battery life
No control screen, heavy weight, distortion present at higher volumes
If you are looking for a volume boost over your iPod or laptop's integrated speakers, the Fiio S3 is very capable portable speaker. It will output acceptable quality sound except at high volumes.

ITS sound quality leaves much to be desired, but the ASUS Wireless Portable Stereo Speaker is very convenient.
Bluetooth with A2DP, good battery life, can take advantage of its surroundings to improve sound quality
Could be smaller, woofers are unprotected while in use, sound quality isn't great
ASUS' SP-BT23 doesn't deliver particularly good sound, but it has a good battery life and Bluetooth connectivity - a decent trade-off.

SIZE doesn't stop the booming sound emanating from these speakers that you can take to the beach, camping or even your own backyard.
Plenty of volume from its small speakers, fold-up design, can switch between FM radio and iPod modes
No mute button, lacks separate bass and treble controls, not enough presets
The Memorex Mi2013 Travel speaker performs adequately. It could use a few additions (such as a mute button and separate bass and treble controls), but if you're looking for a dock that can be used in the backyard, at the beach, in a hotel or while ...

WAKE up to the songs you want to hear with the Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime, but beware of poor audio.
Built-in radio, detailed mid-range and highs, sweet treble notes
Quite a bit of distortion, lack of clarity in the mid-range, remote can't surf the menu, bass somewhat weak
A good but not great iPod alarm clock, it has a few nifty features like its motion sensor but the audio is merely average.

THESE mid-level M3200 speakers are capable but won't blow you away with volume levels or sound quality.
Good looks, clean sound
Not as much detail as we would have liked
Edifier's mid-level M3200 speakers work well for casual music and PC gaming. If you're looking for anything special, though, keep moving along. They're capable little workhorses but they won't blow you away with volume levels or sound quality.

THE iM310 is good value and a fair travel solution, but don't expect earth shattering sound quality.
Folding design, AC or battery operated, charges while playing, auxiliary input
No included line-in cable, no remote control, no bass/treble adjustment, distortion at high volume levels
The iM310 is a fair travel solution, but don't expect brilliant sound quality. At this price it's pretty decent value.

THE Bluetooth configuration might be a headache, but the speakers themselves are quite capable.
Wireless, stylish looks, warm sound
Two power packs, fiddly Bluetooth
Parrot's DS1120 wireless hi-fi speakers cram an expansive sound-stage into a tiny, stylish package. The Bluetooth configuration might be a headache, but the speakers themselves are quite capable.

THESE speakers blow their mainstream competitors out of the water with clear, analytical sound.
No distortion, sweet sound
Lacking bass at higher volumes, expensive
If you've got the money, it's hard to go past the Audiobytes as a pre-built PC sound system. These speakers blow their mainstream competitors out of the water with clear, analytical sound - even though they are a little bass-shy at higher volumes.

DON'T let the design fool you - this strange-looking device is actually a very useful speaker.
Quirky design, simple operation, excellent sound quality considering its size
Battery is non-removable
This strange-looking device is actually a very useful speaker. Don't let the design fool you: Sony Ericsson's MBS-100 is a commendable mobile phone accessory.
