Nuforce Cube

The Nuforce Cube is a cute little speaker, but it's too pricey and doesn't sound good enough to make its home on your desk.

Small and simple design. Clear midrange and high end

Expensive. Distorts heavily on the low end. Needs to be charged to work with a 3.5mm audio input

NuForce Cube

If you were to do a quick internet search for “portable laptop speaker,” you'd be treated to a buffet of embarrassingly poor-sounding pieces of glorified plastic that, sadly, probably do sound better than the speakers built into your average laptop....

Clean, distortion-free sound ; Tiny footprint ; Quality DAC built in ; Decent headphone amp ; 8-10 hour battery life

Lack of low frequencies ; Won’t improve sound of iDevices

NuForce's Cube, for now, is a unique little product that we're happy to recommend to those travelers and outdoorsy types that need a compact, great sounding speaker.

nuForce Cube

NuForce's Cube offers a significant amount of versatility in an aesthetically pleasing product that can meet many people's mobile multimedia needs; however, its steep pricing may put off potential consumers.

Very portable, Excellent volume, Battery-powered (if needed) for MP3 players and tablets, Build Quality/design, Versatility

Somewhat pricey, No onboard volume controls, Lacks stereo separation

NuForce’s Tiny Cube Speaker Packs A Wallop

Excellent sound from small speaker.

Some may consider the price prohibitive.

I do. It delivers good sound, which you want from any speaker. It is perfect for taking your sound with you and it works very well on a crowded computer work station. An extra bonus for me — I use an external monitor and therefore keep the lid to my...
