Philips Fidelio DS6600

Philips is applying its acclaimed Soundsphere sound technology to a smaller form factor and to a new area with the Fidelio DS6600 mini docking and PC speakers.

Connection comes via a simple USB from the computer direct to the speakers, or by using a direct digital connection made via the slide out iPod/iPhone dock which, in combination with the USB pass through, also allows the iDevice to be synced to the PC...

Philips Puts AirPlay into Fidelio SoundSphere Speakers

Back in March, Philips was showing off its funky Fidelio SoundSphere speakers. However, it's not the slick design that makes this series stand out, but support for Apple's AirPlay.

The stand-alone DS8800W (pictured) does not go mobile (unless you have AC power close by). However, the $399 system does have a 2x15-watt amp. Last, but not least, the DS6800 is basically a smaller version of the DS9800W, but without the charging...
