Pioneer SP-FS51-LR

I bought a store-brand full home stereo system from a major retailer. At the time, I thought it sounded great. However, I wanted to get bigger speakers to replace the dinky satellite speakers. I thought I would replace the speakers piece by piece as I...

I would have liked them to be taller. They're just over 2 feet. I ended up placing them on some small coffee tables so the speakers can be in ear level

I normally go for cheap, but...

Horrible faded sound. I have a set of Athena technology 5.1 setup that are close to 15 years old that literally beat the hell out of these speakers. I had one tower speaker hooked up side by side with my old speakers and within 5 seconds, I knew that I...

pretty amazing

I've never owned a really good (high quality) set of speakers before now so all I have to compare them to are my old car stereo's from the 80's (which weren't half bad). But let me tell you, I have never experienced the warmth and clarity of sound...

I, personally, like the way the look. good bass even at low volumes

i dont like the speaker wire connectors ; They dont want to stay tight. on the plus side of that you can use banna plugs with them if you like and that problem is solved. I just wish the drivers themselves loooked nicer so you could leave the grills off

Great budget speakers

These are not audiophile speakers. If you want audiophile, move on to another set. These are very good sounding BUDGET speakers. The high/low separation sounds very good to me. They are worth the money spent, and look good too. You might think about...

Bang for the buck is high ; Nice highs ; Normal lows

Might need a sub for surround purposes, but truly not a con

Great floorstanders! Even better price.

These speakers are amazing. The sound is clear from lows to highs. The lows were better than I expected. These speakers make a great pair by them selves, in a 2.1, 5.1, or 7.1. I highly recommend them! For an entry level set, you can't go wrong with these

Neutral sound, needs a good amplifier

Nice curved case, highs are right

mids are little prominent, needs a snippy amplifier, sound is not that detailed at low level

I've had these speakers for a few days now, they need to be broken in for a few hours before they sound the way they are meant to (they sound very good and I have a reasonable deal of experience with loudspeakers) - I just purchased these to hear what...

Well made, good looks

Power hungry

Pioneer USED to be good

about the only thing these sound good in comparison to, are those little satellite speakers they sell in home theater in a box packs for 200$. these things are a colossal waste of money at any price, as you can usually find a better pair of generic...

the only pro i can think of is if you for some reason have an odd 6ohm stereo, these will match well with that

lets start off with the fact that these are 3 year old speakers. now that dosent necessarily say anything is bad about them, but that along with their quality should drop these down to under 50 bones ; these speakers claim a feq response of 45-20,00...

For the price these should sound OK, not great but OK. They sound like the music is playing next door and vibrating through the walls. NO sound accuracy at all. Go to online you can find some great deals on used JBL, Boston Acoustics, EV, studio...

Looks nice but if you care about sound quality, forget it

Sounds like mush, highs are tinny, mids are a distorted mess and bass sounds like boomy mush ; They produce noise, not music, good speakers need a reasonably flat response, these are about as flat as the Grand Canyon
