Logitech QuickCam Communicate Deluxe

Logitech Z520 Speakers

By Andrew Spode Miller

Pricey. But do they deliver?

Compact yet stylish, great sound quality for their size, no external sub reduces clutter

Teufel Concept E 200

Impressive amplified 5.1 speakers?

Affordable, sound great, subwoofer adjustment

No decoder, sometimes powers off in low volume films, no remote volume control

Great speakers, but likely to only appeal to a limited sub-set of users

Edifier Luna 5

Edifier Luna 5 iPod speaker

By Stuart Miles

Can round make good sound?

Design

FM radio frustrating to use, remote too big, no DAB

A case of one with plenty of potential that just failed to deliver

Altec Lansing inMotion iM7

Bass without the big box?

Stylish, easy to use/setup, good sound for the price

Sub on your desk means that your desk will vibrate, no remote, sound slightly thin

Stylish and creates a good sound for the cash - these will liven up your desk tunes. A viable alternative to the Creative G series

Altec Lansing Orbit iMT237

Can this provide the soundtrack to your life?

Simple, lightweight

Sound good but not brilliant

It's not the prettiest speaker out there, nor is it the loudest, but it will let you listen to your MP3 player, mobile phone or any other device you can think of simply and effectively.

Edifier IF200

Something you may not mind waking up to

Cheap and cute

Lack of decent bass affects the sound quality, and isn't compatible with some of the newer iPod models so check before you buy

Does the job, and looks good doing it

Creative GigaWorks T3

Will this deliver the big sound they promise?

Sound, easy set-up, looks

Touch on the expensive side

On the surface there isn't much to the GigaWorks T3 speaker system, but it delivers the results that you'll want and for us that's the important bit

Motorola EQ7 Wireless Hi-Fi Stereo Speaker

Looks likes a CD player right?

Speakerphone features, plenty of volume

Serious lack of bass, boring design, price

If you are certain that you need the speakerphone functions, then this is a reasonable performer, but as a portable music speaker better sound and better value can be found elsewhere

Motorola EQ 3

Time to get down in Moto town?

Speakers can be had for a lot less money and at this size can sound a lot worse. For general usage on the road, beach or camping, the EQ3 are a good bet. At £30, the price isn't too bad either.

Motorola EQ5 Portable Wireless Speaker

Bluetooth music and chat on the move

Design, size, weight, controls

Sound quality, incessant LED flashing

The real strength of the EQ5 is in its design, but kids looking to share their music will find cheaper options out there
