Klipsch Reference RF-62 II ( cherry)

It's no surprise the RF-62 II is a monster, both in its ability to rock! and in terms of sheer physical size. If you want to get the party started, these are the speakers to get it done. They have a very crisp top end and so much bass you probably...

The Klipsch RF-62 II is a large two-way tower speaker ideal for high-impact home theater and hard rock, EDM, reggae and hip-hop. Bass is plentiful, and dynamic range impact is as good as it gets for speakers in this price class.

Overwhelming for small rooms; acoustic music lacks refinement.

The Klipsch RF-62 II floor-standers are the speaker equivalent of a 1970s American muscle car -- big, fun and brash.

Klipsch RF-62 II

Klipsch is a sort of legend in American home audio. During the 66 years the Indianapolis-based company has been in business, it has managed to build an immensely popular brand, a loyal following of enthusiasts, and a massive product portfolio. Its...

Engaging and powerful sound ; Excellent bass response ; Exceptional soundstaging and imaging ; Superior subwoofer

Vinyl finish ; Surround speakers a bit large

Those looking to outfit their home theaters with a system that is as musical as it is powerful should find an excellent match in the highly recommended Klipsch RF-62 II.

Klipsch RF-62 Floorstanding Loudspeakers Reviewed

Third from the bottom of Klipsch's vast Reference Series the RF-62 still maintains the sonic lineage packing all of Klipsch's signature sound in an affordable, compact design that Home Theater Review finds to be a capable home theater loudspeaker....

The RF-62 provides a big, dynamic sound with good top end detail ; The RF-62 sounds great at high volumes, and can fill a large room with ease ; The RF-62 doesn't require high power to perform optimally

The RF-62 lacked speed and transparency, especially on acoustic material ; The RF-62's big sound sometimes overwhelmed the presentation, with a fuzzy midrange and blooming bass ; The RF-62 only comes in a Black finish ; The RF-62's copper woofers may...

The Klipsch RF-62 is a bit of a mixedbag. It certainly is not for the refined, audiophile crowd. It providesa big sound with great dynamics that really delivers the goods on rockand electronic music. On the other hand, it lacks overall speed...

Klipsch RF-62 II

These are the best earbud style earphones I've ever owned. They are durable–they held up despite being dragged all over the Western Hemisphere. I can wear them for long periods of time without discomfort. They block out most outside sound. And best of...

Buy with no reservation. You will be thrilled.

True craftsmanship! These are built beautifully. The weight confirms that. Then, you plug them in. Using my VSX-1121-k I have these bi amp'd in the front and use them with an rc-52 II , rw-12d and rs-52 ii's. I'm in heaven. The depth, separation,...

Product Specifications

Exclusive Tractrix Horns have always been the key component of this critically acclaimed series. In the RF-62, this technology has been refined to include improved throat geometry for a more genuine, lifelike sound. Behind the horn lies a 1-inch titanium tweeter with a large ceramic motor structure to provide a unique combination of precision, clarity and effortless power. The RF-62 employs dual 6.5-inch woofers for a solid bass foundation. These Cerametallic woofers with inverted copper dust caps exhibit a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and superb damping characteristics. The RF-62's rigid cabinet offers improved internal cross-bracing to minimize panel vibrations that can color sound and twin rear-firing ports to eliminate turbulence noise. Increased baffle ribbing in the lower panel and around the horn mouth dramatically improve acoustics across the sonic range. For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the crossover on the RF-62 features the finest components and Klipsch custom internal wiring. The RF-62 comes with a low-diffraction, magnetically attached grille to further accentuate the elegance of this speaker.
