Samsung Wireless Audio Dock (DA-E750)

From vacuum tubes to dual docks to multiple wireless streaming platforms, the Samsung Wireless Audio Dock (DA-E750) is loaded. And it's one of the best-looking speaker systems we've seen—with one of the highest price tags.

Streams wireless audio in a variety of ways, including Bluetooth, Apple's AirPlay, and AllShare Play. Solid audio playback at moderate volumes. Dual docking for 30-pin iOS devices, certain Samsung devices.

Extremely expensive. Distorts on deep bass tracks at high volumes. Setting up wireless streaming can be difficult.

So, instead, we'll just judge the DA-E750 the way we judge everything else—on its overall audio performance, regardless of what role the tubes may or may not play. The good news is: It sounds quite good.

Is Samsung's gorgeous AirPlay speaker worth $700?

Samsung's DA-E760 wireless audio dock handles AirPlay and Bluetooth, and looks good doing it. But is it enough to justify its luxury price?

The ; is the best-looking AirPlay speaker we've seen, with a beautiful furniture-grade cherry finish. It supports AirPlay and Bluetooth, and also features a retractable dock for iOS devices (including iPads), Samsung Galaxy SII and S3 phones, and the...

At $700, the DA-E750 is very expensive for an audio dock; you can put together a better-sounding system for less money. There also aren't many options for adjusting the sound, which can make a big difference with smaller systems like this. And although...

The Samsung DA-E750 is by far the best-looking audio dock out there, with support for AirPlay and Bluetooth, but its extravagant price keeps it from being a good value for most buyers.

Samsung DA-E750

The Samsung DA-E750 audio dock seems to straddle both worlds: it's a speaker with a high-end feel, but its built-in tech isn't likely to be as relevant a decade from now. Both AirPlay and Bluetooth are supported, plus there's a retractable dock on the...

Samsung DA-E750 Wireless Audio Dock

As we begin to rely more and more on our portable devices, like our smartphones and tablets, to fill the role of tasks our desktop computers used to, we start to find some shortcomings of using portable devices ahead of full computer systems. Audio,...

Elegant and beautiful design ; Transistor tube design (which also adds to the looks) ; Huge variety of inputs (I can't even think of anything that's missing?) ; Built-in down firing subwoofer and ported cabinet design ; Excellent sound quality

No display of any sort to show playback information, input selection, bass mode (one would look great on the front though) ; The $699 price tag is likely to make most buyers opt for the model down (which doesn't have the vacuum tubes) ; View the...

Samsung has a great audio dock on their hands with the DA-E750. It's design quality and beauty is unmatched, especially in a market where most audio docks, no matter how premium, are just various forms of plastic designs. The variety of inputs, both...

Samsung’s sleek sound systems channel a bygone era

It has often been said that in our never-ending quest to make things better or easier through technology, we are collectively losing some parts of our souls. One area where that certainly has been true is with music.

Still, as Neil Young bemoaned, no one has properly cracked the issue of input. Until a better way to digitally capture and store audio is discovered, we’re going to have to live with music that has a little less soul in it.
