Sharp HT-SB60 review

The acute treble and thin midrange just didn't jive with our ears, especially during music playback.

The Sharp HT-SB60’s prowess for detail, wide stereo image, and sheer power brings a lot to the table when it comes to movies. But the severity of the metallic treble created a constant battle between dulling its raw edge, and extracting the finer...

Sharp HT-SB602 review

In the past 12 months we've seen some terrific values in sound bars, with the Yamaha YAS-203 and the Pioneer SP-SB23W in particular offering amazing performance for the money.

The ultra-wide Sharp HT-SB602 squeezes a ton of features into an incredibly svelte package, with Bluetooth, Dolby, DTS, HDMI inputs and a wireless subwoofer. It's capable of creating a wide soundstage and movie dialog is very crisp.

The Sharp's sound quality is surpassed by competitors at the same price. There's an audible bass gap between the speaker and sub, and the sound can be annoyingly bright when listening to music. The unit's subwoofer looks cheap compared with the main unit.

The Sharp HT-SB602 offers plenty of features, a wide soundstage and high-energy movie playback, but its overall sound quality can't stand up to similarly priced rivals.

Sharp HT-SB602 2.1 Channel Slim Sound Bar review: This humongous speaker delivers big value

This sound bar can fill a large room with great-sounding audio.

Best-in-class audio ; Futuristic, industrial design ; Lots of connectivity options

Too large for many home environments ; Useless manual ; Remote control is baffling

This bruiser of a sound bar delivers best-in-class audio performance and features. It's a terrific value.

Sharp HT-SB602

If you have a big-screen HDTV and need a soundbar to go with it, the Sharp HT-SB602 should be near the top of your list.

Strong audio performance. Bluetooth. Large enough for 55-plus-inch HDTVs.

Wireless subwoofer crossover seems low, leading to a slight hole in deep bass response. Not particularly suitable for bass-heavy music.

The Sharp HT-SB602 is an excellent soundbar for big-screen HDTVs, and a worthy follow-up to the SB60. The addition of Bluetooth and a robust set of midrange drivers make it a solid sound system to play your music as well as handle the audio for your...

Sharp HT-SB60 review: Superlong sound bar packs fittingly wide sound

The ; ultralong sound bar delivers a huge sound, besting smaller systems and handling even music well. It also packs two HDMI inputs, which is handy if your TV doesn't have many ports. The included remote makes it easy to adjust settings like bass,...

The HT-SB60 lacks built-in Bluetooth, so you'll need a separate device for wireless audio streaming. Its huge size means it won't fit nicely in most living rooms, and it looks awkward with TVs smaller than 60 inches. The system's aesthetics are...

The Sharp HT-SB60 is one of the best-performing sound bars we've tested, although its extra-long size and lack of Bluetooth will give some buyers pause.

Sharp HT-SB60 review

Sharp makes some of the biggest TVs in the world , so it's not surprising that the company is applying its plus-size worldview to sound bars .

Sharp HT-SB60 Sound Bar Home Theater System

One of the few soundbars built for 60-inch HDTVs, the powerful Sharp HT-SB60 produces an expansive sound field for movies if you don't mind a slightly bright sound and hefty price tag.

Excellent bass and midrange. Wide, full sound field thanks to the size.

Expensive. Slightly bright high end.

The Sharp HT-SB60 sounds great for movies, but it's not quite balanced enough for music. It also lacks features like Bluetooth, which makes its $500 price tag harder to justify than if it was included. However, for movie-watching the HT-SB60 offers one...

Sharp HT-SB602 Review

The Sharp HT-SB602 home theater sound bar comes with a wireless 8-inch subwoofer that adds powerful bass presence. This sound bar also has good connectivity options, including two HDMI cables and Bluetooth for wireless music streaming. It didn't do as...

The 8-inch subwoofer produces powerful and focused bass.

It struggles to simulate surround sound.

With its hard-hitting subwoofer, this sound bar adds depth to any viewing experience.
