Excellent Sound bar!

Since your subwoofer acts as a receiver and you keep the HD Audio, this unit is a great find for a small to medium living room or bedroom to add amazing sound to your tv. Sony does a great job with its audio here. It is a little hard to navigate...

Great sound, Clear (even at high volumes), Great UI, great controls, Great Simulated Surround sound, Great to use the Subwoofer as a receiver so that you can keep the HD Audio capabilities

Hard to work the menus, Hard to see the back light display sometime

Great value for what it is.

Very good system for a budget minded person trying to fill a gap in sound quality.I found mine as an open box return, not used at all for a very good deal.

Simple setup.Multiple HDMI inputs.Easily connects BluRay player, PS3 and HD-DVR from DTV.Input switching is phenomenal.Volume at MAX is pretty good for the simple design.Wouldn't use for a huge room.Black Ops sounds exceptional.Although I haven't tried th

Remote control doesn't work as well as I would've liked, but is manageable

Good for the money

Mine is set up with a Samsung LCD TV and set up took less than 10 minutes. Comes with one optical audio cable. Us this system for a small room, or when your close to the TV, not a complete surround sound, but great for what its designed for.

One of the least expensive sound bars that support optical audio and HDMI. Unless you have real long cables the powered sub woofer has to stay close by the TV. Works with Harmony remotes

Nothing, its a Sony

Worth your money . . . .

Overall, this is a good buy for your money. This unit will NEVER deliver the detailed sounds produced by high-end 5.1, 7.1 systems. If you are realistic and can accept that, then you should be satisfied with this unit. I purchased this unit on ebay for...

1) easy connectivity, 2) plenty of inputs (hdmi) on rear of subwoofer, 3) reasonably priced for the sound it puts out, 4) no wires running across your rooms, 5) nicely designed

1) setting up the sound through the remote control (you MUST read the manual or you'll probably never figure it out on your own), 2) won't be able to hide the subwoofer (needs direct line from remote as the sensor is built on the actual subwoofer)

Gets Bravia Sync'd with Sony TV

I bought this after reading online reviews on a decent sound bar with hdmi ports and 3D compatibility. For the price (~$300) its a great sound system especially if you have a Sony tv. The reason i say this is that with the bravia sync technology you...

Price and 400 watts max outpt

Great-sounding Speaker System for its price.

The sound coming from this sound bar is leagues better than any flat-screen TV speaker can throw out. The Powered subwoofer is nice, with many input-output ports. I have it hooked up to Apple's Airport Express to stream my music over wi-fi...and it...

Amazing Sound for price. Powered Subwoofer has in-built receiver with multiple HDMI/Optical ports

Could not manage to mount it on my Sony KDL52-EX700 TV Stand, even though the manual listed my TV as compatible. Still trying to get it to work from the TV remote

Very good sound for size and style

I originally bought the Samsung HW-C450 system. The wireless subwoofer was beyond awful and the system looked cheap. This is a FAR better system (has great HDMI connectivity) and was only a little bit more expensive.

Looks great. Extremely compact. Great connectivity for lower priced sound bar. Much better sound than tv speakers. Good bass

I paid $499 for this (in Canada), I think it is worth more like $350 personally so look around for deals. Would be nice if the cable for the sound bar was longer and/or not a specialty cable from Sony. For the price not a single HDMI cable included

A great improvement compared to our TV's speakers.

Profound simplicity; Elegance in design; State of the art technology; It did exactly what it was designed to do. It created much improved sound quality compared to our 60 inch built-in Bravia speakers. We, also, have M&K speakers ($12,000) in our home...

Simple, attractive, decent sound, fair price, cable length was fine if you're setup is logically designed. Also, you could blindly point the infrared remote in the general direction of the woofer and it always worked perfectly

The lighted front panel display which supplies most of the operational information is a bit small for our 12' X 15' family room. However, in a smaller room, that it was really design for, would be perfect

Decent sound without the wire clutter

Wanting better sound while watching TV, but wanting to avoid running wires for rear channel 5.1 system, I opted for a sound bar. The Sony offered the features I was looking for with a price that was pretty decent. It doesn't match the sound experience...

Price, easy set-up, adequate sound, HDMI relay capability

Included wires are short
