Sony MDR-NC22 Noise Canceling Earphones

This is my second set of the sony noise-canceling earphones (lost the first set). I have had no trouble with these (was worried that they were refurbished, but not a problem). Fit very comfortably and easy to travel with. Never go on a plane anymore...

The leads on the earpiece to the Y connection is about 6 inches for one ear and 15 inches for the other. It is not adjustable - we tried to force it and stripped the wire. Sent it back for a replacement, which arrived today with the same problem
