Sound quality poor

If you are looking for even decent sound quality don't buy this system.I tried it in a small room and it sounded like some kind of old-fashioned radio.

Very good speakers, plus an iPod dock

I just got these. The system consists of two small (3 inch cube, with permanently attached stands) satellites; a woofer box about 13x7x8 inches, and a control head/iPod dock. Connection is simple. I'm using them as the speakers on my PC, using the good...

Sony SRS-GD50iP review

Sony's SRS-GD50iP has a compact subwoofer, but it's the satellites that really catch the eye – they're small enough to easily fit inside a mug. A separate wired iPod dock is included. Music played by a connected iPod is played through the speakers, and...

Sony SRS-GD50iP

Both iPod and Mac; compact; simple to use; good sound quality for the price

Build quality lacking; cheap plastic finish

If you’re after a similar setup but want the best on the market, have a look at the $999 Focal XS Multimedia Sound System reviewed by Dave Bullard in the November issue of Australian Macworld.

Do not waste your money

Bought this just over a year ago and it has now become faulty. Speaker sound has become "tinny" and sounds like there is a loose connection. Took it to a Sony dealer and was told it is uneconomical to repair. Neither Sony or Play.com are interested in...
