Pleasant Surprise

There is some noise when there is no audio playing and the volume pot is turned all the way up, but it seems to be dependent on the sound card: my desktop has virtually no noise but my laptop has a little; again, only noticeable when there is nothing...

Bought these because my monitor's speakers were terrible. The sound quality is surprising, considering their power source, price, and size. The bass is there, but it's not that strong. Mids are pretty clean and accurate, as is the treble. Again, these...

Headphone jack is terribly noisy, I thought it would be a direct pass-through from the input but it seems to be just attenuated speaker output soldered to the jack. This is fine though as I wasn't planning on using it anyway

Fine for budget speakers

They're cheap, and work fine ; Decent looks ; Power cable is usb ; Both cables are long enough to reach my computer without any problems

The right speaker (with the power/volume switches) has this very slight buzz when it plays anything. I'm not sure if that's a manufacturing defect or just very bad speaker quality ; The volume knob has no indication of which way is low and which way is...

Surprisingly good!

Great product. Would buy again.

Pretty decent sound. Perfect for the wife who plays music and the Sims 3. My son gets on the computer and plays his toddler games. Everyone is happy

Entry Level Wonder

I would only use this speaker set for someone who needed very basic audio and I would only recommend it as the cheapest option for a grandma or email-card player. If music or audio loud enough to be heard clearly over a regular speaking voice is...

Sound quality is very good for price while its clear it lacks depth as all USB or non powered units. Operation is simple and it works as advertised. I use them primarily as a test set when building working on computers. I am very impressed by its sharp...

Had to smack around...

I recommend to anyone who needs really cheap yet nice speakers. I'll assume all of them don't need to be beat to get them working.

For small speakers, they sound pretty good. I'm currently using them on my laptop. I actually bought them so I could have some cheap sound with the PC I'm building until I looking into bigger speakers. I might actually keep them around though. Nice...

However.... they didn't work at first. Not that the instructions are complicated at all (plug them into speaker port and USB to power) but they didn't turn on. I couldn't figure them out. I was on the verge of deciding on sending them back when I...

AMAZING QUALITY FOR PRICE

as a note, these run off of usb power, so if you plan on using these on a laptop make sure you have an extra usb port. keep in mind they use the usb for power, you need to plug the 3.5mm jack into the headphone jack on your laptop. also great fast...

Bought these for use with a laptop that had 1 speaker blown, and i have to say.... WOW! I got these for 9 dollars, and for that you get speakers that sound absolutely amazing. the bass is not earth shattering, but coming from a powerful desktop audio...

a bit of distortion when very loud, but that is expected with small speakers. these things go VERY loud by the way
