Modestly priced and the best in the test. What more do you want, jam on it?
Transparent, precise and revealing sound ; sturdy build
They're not about to flatter sub-standard electronics
These loudspeakers have been given a bit of bling and unusually a dome midrange driver
Superior voice band coherence, thanks to dome midrange driver; Advanced enclosure shape and construction ensures minimal boxiness; Separate plinth gives solid spike-mounting
Too much bling?; Tonal balance a little too warm and laid back; Lacks midband transparency
This operates a policy of 'vertical integration', which means that virtually everything needed to build a loudspeaker – drivers, cables, enclosures, crossovers and so on – is made in-house
The Wharfedale's have consistently made good speakers but for a while now in my eyes, it has failed to make outstanding speakers. Well of that changes with it's latest incarnation the 10.1's which have only landed in the shops in the last couple of weeks....
Impressive bass extension, depth and spaciousness
Perhaps it is not as lively as some speakers
Amazing review team. Great encouragement for a poor old fellow like them.
