Yamaha NS-P610

Classy looks; compact satellites and powered subwoofer with front-mounted controls.

The sound isn't up to snuff.

This is one great-looking system, but the sat/sub blend isn't so hot, and the sats sound small.

Not too bad but...

 

I use the V-665, Polk RM6750's with the sub, the Yamaha SW315 10" Subwoofer, and two sattelites from this set. Will probly just upgrade front mains to the NS-777 or equivalent floor standing speakers.

I got these free with the purchase of the Yamaha V-665. Prior to this purchase I bought Polk Audio's Rm6750 set for 200. So I really didnt need this set. Im using two of the sattelites as back surround to complete the 7.2 setup and they do ok for it

As expected, the 300 dollar price is for marketing purposes. Likely the price will drop sharply once it's no longer offered for free with the recievers. When I upgrade my front L/R's I will replace these two Yamaha back surrounds with the polks. The...
