ZEROtherm has impressed us with every outing; can the NV120 Premium do the same?
If this article was a benchmark on build quality, I would put the ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 Premium near the top of the list. Unfortunately build quality is not the only measurement of a good CPU cooler and that leads us to the shortcomings of the NV120
If you're Apack, how do you surprise the rest of the cooling industry? Release a tower-style CPU cooler that doesn't look like a butterfly. The new ZEROTherm Nirvana NV120 is that cooler, and luckily, it impressed. Could the Nirvana NV120 be our ...

Large, Noisy at full tilt
Today Zerotherm launches the new Nirvana NV120 Premium tower style heatsink, which features a copper base and four U-shaped heatpipes with aluminum fins. Over the entire surface of the Nirvana Premium is a dark gray mirror finish like no other ...
$42 USD after rebate is a great price, Great performance, Beautiful mirror plated finish over the entire heatsink, Cool blue LED fan, Four U-shaped heatpipes, Included fan controller, Fan is quiet at low speed
Base imperfections, Proprietary fan, Fan is loud at full speed, May have clearance issues in tight cases under certain configurations
The Zerotherm Nirvana NV120 Premium is a great heatsink that can be had for as little as $42 after rebate, which is a great price for a solid performer. I just cannot get over how beautiful the finish is on the Nirvana, and that finish wraps the ...
Even though I had to remove my side fan, my graphics no longer required it due to increased airflow from the Nirvana and the north bridge heat sink I installed (Thermaltake Spirit II). If you need cooling then go for this thing.
It is big. It moves a lot of air and keeps my RAM, CPU, and MOSFET chilled. The design is very well done and I love the blue LEDs
I could barely fit this into an Antec 900. I had to remove the 120mm fan so that I could close the side panel. I will have to drill some holes and cut plastic to make the fan's corner fit over one of the heat pipes. Does not come with a case badge
Its big. Barely fit in my case (antec 900)
Kept my computer overclocked at 91F (idle) on the lowest rpm
None
Keeps my computer cool and looks good along with easy install. What more could you ask for?
This was my first build and I spent several hours trying to decide what cooling unit to get. I finally decided on this due to the positive reviews and stated easy of install. The reviews were dead on. This was extremely easy to install. The pictures don't...
The manual speed control is kind of dated looking but gets the job done. Makes a little noise on the highest speed, but so far I have it set on low to medium and you can't hear it and the case stays cool.
ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 CPU Cooler The Nirvana NV120 Premium (1) - it's simply the best-performing 120mm air-cooling CPU in the industry.
