Review Acer Iconia Dual Screen Tablet

Touchbook. The Iconia is the Ferrari in Acer's tablet campaign. We see it rather more as a tank. Weight and size are far from any kind of portable lightness. Nevertheless, the control concept of the foldable tablet works.

Application performance, Control concept, Low waste heat, Virtual keyboard/mouse, The control model with the variable key/touchpad works well. Productivity scenarios, such as image editing or video processing are transferable onto the dual display concept

Narrow viewing angles, No internal cardreader, High weight & bulkiness, Short battery life, Long charge time, No DVD drive, Short manufacturer warranty, A lower display with a higher viewing angle stability – especially in this price range. A...

Acer Iconia Tab A100 Review

The Iconia Tab A100 is Acer's follow-up to its first Android Honeycomb tablet, the Iconia Tab A500. At 7 inches and $330, it's quite a bit smaller and cheaper than its 10.1-inch cousin, but no less capable thanks to the tablet's integration of Android...

Runs Android 3.2 ; Powerful specs for a 7-inch tablet ; Great design and feel ; Rear camera has flash ; Cool travel case

Battery life is 4 or 5 hours max ; Screen is too reflective, has limited viewing angle ; Rear camera takes bland pictures

You're going to wish it had a bigger battery, and the screen will bother you a little, but other than that, the A100 is a good 7-inch tablet and a great device to carry along in your purse or bag.

Iconia Tab A100 Review

It is true that Acer only a few months ago brought us one of the first round of Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets In the Iconia Tab A500 , a 10-inch tablet with a thin metal backing attached to one of the cheapest prices on the market. What we've got now...

This tablet is good for a lot of things. Wrapping up the awesome power of the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor in a medium-sized package, one that's not a smartphone yet not quite a full-sized tablet makes this device good for some slightly more...

Acer Iconia Tab A100 Review

With the Iconia Tab A100, Acer offers one of the best tablet values on the market. For $349, this device combines snappy dual-core performance with the full Honeycomb experience in a lightweight design. We just wish the A100 lasted longer on a charge....

Acer Iconia Tab A100 ( 16GB)

Editor's note: As of May 2012, the Acer Iconia tab A100 is upgradable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). For details on the advantages Android 4.0 offers over Honeycomb, check the Android 4.0 section of the Asus Transformer Prime TF201 review.

The 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 provides a full Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) experience and its price is lower than those of some of the best 7-inch tablets out there. Its HDMI-out, hardware screen lock, and expandable memory options are welcome...

The tablet screen's viewing angle is narrow and the battery drains quickly. Also, you could get a 10-inch tablet for less than $100 more.

The Acer Iconia Tab A100 offers a full Android 4.0 experience on a 7-inch tablet and can now be found at a very affordable price.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 review

It's been nine months -- nine months! -- since Acer first announced it was getting into the tablet game, with a promise of both 7- and 10-inch slates.

First 7-inch tablet running Android 3.2 ; Fast performance ; Relatively inexpensive

Very short battery life ; Polarizing design ; Oversensitive accelerometer

As the first 7-inch tablet running Android 3.2, the A100 is fast and inexpensive, though buyers will have to settle for short endurance and a chintzy design.

Acer Iconia Tab A100

Switch the tablet on and you'll see a 1024-by-600 touch-screen LCD of average brightness. At its Automatic Brightness setting it's noticeably dim and the screen is too reflective, but pump up the brightness and it looks great. The stereo speakers on...

Works well with many Android apps. Great multimedia features

Short battery life. Bloatware. A bit chintzy-looking

The Acer Iconia Tab A100 works well with more of Android's 200,000 apps than other tablets do; we just wish we could play with it longer on a single charge.

Acer ICONIA TAB A100 Review

Shopping around for a tablet, we've been led to believe that the $500 price point is considered to be the safe level for most tablets, even for some of the smaller 7-inchers out there, but as we continue to see fierce competition, it's naturally...
