Acer Iconia Tab A110

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 ($229.99 list) is a formidable 7-inch Android tablet, but it doesn't quite measure up to competitors like the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD. It runs Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" right out of the box and has nice...

Runs Android 4.1. Micro HDMI out and microSD slot

Low-quality screen. Clunky design. Relatively expensive. Disappointing battery life

Unless you absolutely need microSD and HDMI out on your 7-inch tablet, there's no reason to choose the Acer Iconia Tab A110 over the less expensive Google Nexus 7.

Acer Iconia Tab A110

Considering the state of the market for 7-inch tablets in late 2012, we find ourselves wondering what Acer must have been thinking with its Iconia Tab A110—that is, when it set the price at $249.99 list. The problem is, you can buy comparable (and in...

Reasonable performance ; Latest Android (4.1 “Jelly Bean”) comes preinstalled ; Strong connectivity and storage-expansion options

Relatively low-resolution screen ; Short battery life

The 7-inch A110 brims with ports and connectivity, and it performs well enough, but its lackluster screen and short battery life diminish its overall value.

Acer ICONIA TAB A110

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 is a sequel to the Acer Iconia Tab A100 with a 7 inch display offering resolution of 1024 x 600. The quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor is under the hood and there is 1GB of RAM on board. 8GB of native memory can be expanded by...

Acer Iconia Tab A110 review

At first glance the Acer Iconia Tab A110 looks almost the same as the popular Google/Asus Nexus 7. It's a similar size considering it is a 7in tablet, 127 x 193mm. However, closer inspection reveals the differences. Only not all good differences.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 doesn't stand up to the obvious competition from the Nexus 7, let down by a chunky design and low-grade screen. It's more expensive than Google's tablet, with less storage, so unless you need a microSD card slot or micro HDMI...

Acer's Iconia Tab A110 has plenty to offer, including its quad-core

Costs less than £200; Quad-core nVidia power; Decent build quality; Android Jelly Bean OS

Dim display; Chunky

Acer wades into the cheap tablet wars with the quad-core, £180 Iconia Tab A110

Not a terrible tablet, but the Nexus 7 is superior in almost every way – and cheaper
