An attractive proposition. Just in time for the London Olympic Ga

Design feels & looks good; Good build quality; Convincing display; Performance of the components; USB adapter included; Acceptable battery life

Acer Iconia Tab A510 review

Acer has built something of an empire hawking inexpensive wares, and its forays into the tablet market haven't been much different. The Iconia Tab A510 looks strikingly similar to its predecessor, the Iconia Tab A500. It too has a 10.1-inch, 1280 x...

Inexpensive, for a 10-inch tablet ; Decent display

Thicker and heavier than the competition ; Mediocre cameras ; Awkward speaker placement can muffle the sound

Want in on Android? You can do better

Acer Iconia Tab A510 hands-onAcer Iconia Tab A510 with Tegra 3, Android 4.0 arriving in the US and Canada for $450ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 review We'll stop just short of quoting Top Gun here, but if it's speed you crave, these next thousands of...

Long battery life ; Runs Iightly skinned Android 4.0 ; Brisk performance, thanks to Tegra 3

Relatively heavy ; Highly reflective screen ; Acer got rid of the camera flash

The Iconia Tab A510 is an excellent choice if you're in the market a 10-inch tablet offering Tegra 3 horsepower, Android 4.0 and long battery life.

Acer Iconia Tab A510 (32GB, black)

The first quad-core tablet, the Asus Transformer Prime , launched in December 2011, but the adoption rate of quad-core on tablets since then has been disappointingly slow. The new Acer Iconia Tab A510 marks only the third tablet to use a full quad-core...

The Acer Iconia Tab A510 may be the most comfortable tablet I’ve ever held, with a sturdy build and a grip-y texture on its backside. The quad-core tablet delivers fast performance in games, navigation, and Wi-Fi. The expandable storage option and...

The A510 is a bit expensive compared with other tablets and its camera performance is unimpressive. The A510’s LCD screen has narrow viewing angles and tends to wash out color. Also, the screen isn’t as responsive as those of other top-tier tablets....

The Acer Iconia Tab A510 is a well-designed, comfortable tablet that’s a bit too expensive for what it offers versus the competition.

Acer Iconia Tab A510

The Acer Iconia A510 offers strong performance and battery life, but other Android tablets provide more bang for your buck.

Click to EnlargeFor $449, the Iconia Tab A510 offers impressive performance and graphics power, a compelling suite of apps and nearly 8 hours of battery life. Unfortunately, the A510 is shoehorned between the 32GB ASUS Transformer Pad TF300, which...

Acer Iconia Tab A510

Lately, it seems like each new Android-based slate we've looked at has performed a little better than the one before it. As the tablet market matures, and the number of devices running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich, or ICS) on Nvidia's Tegra 3...

Tegra 3 processor ; Latest version of Android (ICS) preinstalled ; Excellent performance ; Well-built

No dedicated USB port

The very latest in tablet operating systems (Android 4.0) and processors (Nvidia's Tegra 3) combine to make the A510 the best-performing slate we've seen to date. It's one of the most attractive tablets available.

"Extremely fast, long battery, just above average screen"

I struggle to agree with freakQNC's review above, actually owning a A510 myself. On the whole I am very pleased with it. I managed to get it for Uk £350 which was my top budget. I certainly recommend the A510. Remember that software on the...

Screen nice enough, but when placed next to my Samsung galaxy S2 you suddenly realise the difference on the phone. Screen collects smear marks quicker than the phone. sound could be louder but then that's often down to the video maker not maximising

"Nth overpriced me-too late release adding nothing new"

I must agree with Eric's the video review Eric gave. Overall unimpressive, overpriced and hard to recommend. As a matter of fact a client asked me for advice on purchase and I ruled this out right away recommending the better performing and far better...

An brand that could be an alternative if wasn't let by delusions and lack of inspiration or innovation. Acer can't get rid of its me-too late comer syndrome. Acer always shown that trend in a consistent manner. Now a brand I would ever buy.

Unjustifiably expensive respect to better options

Bought for my Acer tablet, size is perfect, works as advertised for 1\/2 the cost of others that are not the same quality. Only problem is the hole for the camera does not line up.
