Review Acer Iconia W3-810-27602G03nsw Tablet

Pocket-Windows. Acer offers a small tablet (8.1-inch) with standa

Full Windows 8; x86 applications can be executed; MS Office 2013 (Home and Student) for free; Good battery runtimes; Recovery DVD

No IPS panel; Bad viewing angle stability; Limited storage; Device warms up too much; Bad WLAN reception

Acer manages to build a small Windows 8 tablet for an affordable price.

Acer Iconia W3 Review

Acer unveiled the first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet just few months ago when they announced its Iconia W3. The Acer Iconia W3 features an 8.1-inch WXGA 1280 x 800 display, a 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z2760 processor, 2GB of RAM, a […]

The Iconia W3 doesn’t have the best display, most powerful specs or a great camera, but its portability and battery life make it an overall good tablet. As long as you aren’t looking for fancy bells and whistles along with a Windows 8 tablet, and...

Acer Iconia W3 (64GB)

The Acer Iconia W3 is the first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet, offered at an affordable price, but this little tablet falls short.

Smallest Windows 8 tablet on the market. Small form factor is portable and convenient. Long battery life

Sub-par display. Shoddy accessory keyboard

We've seen a lot of Windows 8 tablets in the last several months, but Acer's newest entry in the category is a big deal because it's so small. The first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet to market, the Acer Iconia W3 takes all the Windows functionality seen in...

Acer Iconia W3 review: a new, smaller kind of Windows 8 tablet

Acer's Iconia W3 is the first of its kind: an 8-inch Windows 8 tablet. It marks the start of a new category of smaller Windows tablets that are expected to debut over the coming months. When Windows 8 originally debuted in October it inspired PC makers...

Windows 8 works well in portrait mode ; Good battery life ; Windows 8.1 update coming soon

Terrible display ; Bulky and heavy ; No Windows 8 app snapping

Don't buy this

Acer Iconia W3 (64GB)

Between large-screen phones (sometimes described with the ridiculous term "phablet"), 7-inch Android tablets, and the excellent iPad Mini , it would seem that Windows 8 has been forced to carve out its territory in relatively larger screen sizes. Most...

Parts of the Windows 8 experience work surprisingly well in the Acer Iconia W3 , which is a smaller 8-inch tablet. The carry-along keyboard is clever, and battery life is excellent for a non-Haswell system.

Outside of tile-based Windows 8 apps, navigation is a pain. Screen quality is exceptionally poor, and the keyboard dock lacks a touch pad or even a track point.

The smaller 8-inch Windows 8 tablet is a form worth exploring, and the Acer Iconia W3 can be fun to use, but it's also buggy and held back by shortcuts and lackluster features.

Acer Iconia W3 review: what's it like using Windows on an 8-inch tablet?

It's sort of hard to believe, but the first sub-10-inch Windows 8 tablet only just went on sale two weeks ago. For now, at least, the Acer Iconia W3 is

Reasonably priced ; Microsoft Office included ; Long battery life ; For now, the only 8-inch Windows 8 tablet

Washed-out screen with poor viewing angles

In addition to its portable, easy-to-hold form factor, the W3's long battery life and reasonable price make it a great value among Windows tablets.

Acer Iconia W3 Review

With the Acer Iconia W3 you've got Acer's first 8.1-inch Windows 8 effort on the market – and the first Windows 8 tablet on the market with an 8.1-inch display in any case. Acer's previous efforts with Android tablets have been decent – we've seen the...

While we’ve yet to see any company bring the full-powered mini-tablet with high-definition display to Windows 8 that we desire – or at least desire to see – Acer currently leads the pack with this machine.

Acer Iconia W3-810

While the screen could be better, the Acer Iconia W3-810 offers a full Windows 8 experience, Microsft Office and long battery life in a portable 8-inch package.

Strong battery life; Great virtual keyboard; Office Home and Student included; Runs full Windows

Poor viewing angles and screen contrast; Mediocre performance

Click to EnlargeThe Acer Iconia W3-810 provides a more-than-serviceable Windows 8 experience in a design you can easily take with you. WIth nearly 9 hours of battery life, a free copy of Office 2013 and some helpful Acer software, this tablet can help...

Review: Acer Iconia W3 Windows 8 Tablet

The first 8″ tablet running full Windows 8, where you can install desktop apps, is here: the Acer Iconia W3. It's about the size of an iPad Mini, except that, on the W3, you can do real MS Office work with assured format-fidelity. We've had our first...

Just a few shots of the W3 before we get down to the verdict.

Review: Acer Iconia W3-810 is too little, too lame

Billed as "the world's first 8-inch Windows tablet," the Acer Iconia W3 is proof that getting there first isn't always the most important achievement.

The keyboard designed to go with the W3 is, to put it diplomatically, terrible. First of all, the W3 doesn't really dock with the keyboard -- it just sits in a groove along the top, where it can be easily dislodged with one good jostle. Forget about...
