A surprisingly usable micro-tablet that is highly portable and fits in your pocket

Decent build quality ; Good performance ; Small and light

Small screen ; No MicroSD card slot

Archos 28 Internet Tablet

Can Android work on a media player with a 2.8in display?

Android 2.2 ; Good format support

Resistive touchscreen ; Low resolution ; Small display ; Poor app performance

These complaints extend to the Archos 28's controls, all of which are touch-sensitive, save for the power button that has been located oddly on the bottom-left corner of the device. Especially lamentable is the absence of a physical volume control,...

Archos 28 Android tablet review

At 2.8-inches, the Archos 28 Android tablet really is pushing the definition of what a tablet actually is. The French media player peddler seems to be of the mind that it's anything running Android that isn't a phone. Is an iPod nano a tablet then?...

Dinky, cheap, RUNS SPOTIFY

Awful keyboard, futile for video and no Android Market

The cheapest way to listen to Spotify on the go - that's something to be proud of, Archos

Archos 28 Android media player unboxed: photos

The Archos 28 is the smallest touchscreen device yet we've seen from the French manufacturer with Android running on it – and at the low price of around £80, that sounds like a killer combo for anyone put off by the latest iPod nano‘s high price and...

This is such a terrible excuse of an internet tablet

Your better off buying an ipod and i really hate ipods. This is such a waste of money, but if you want something with an unresponsive touch screen, almost no apps, and garbage headphones then you should definetely buy this

There really wasn't anything special about this device

This is an android device yet it can barely use any android apps. It has a terrible response time on the touch screen even though i calibrated it many times and the applib that is supposed to be like the android marketplace sucks sooo much

Cheap....you pay what you get for. Not worth it.

If the screen was responsive, this would be worth it. It could of had a running chance had they made this with a bit more quality. This was originally a gift for my younger brother to get him used to android, but i decided not to give it to him ......

In-expensive. Very portable, able to play many types of media

Horrible horrible horrible response touch screen, tiny screen, slow, not much android apps on an ANDROID device, back cover is weak, battery life is short, has an internal rattling noise from 1st drop

Archos 28 (8GB)

This is totally useless. Nothing more than a cheap MP3 player with the ability to browse the web at wifi hotspots. I am not an Apple fan but, if you are looking for an internet tablet that's going to give you your monies worth get an Ipad.

It was inexpensive. Under $90 at Sears

I didn't like anything about it touch pad was useless even with a stylus it couldn't get the letters correct on the keyboard. Unresponsive most of the time. No Android Apps just some trash from Applibs

Cool on a budget

I had my doubts when I purchased this device. I hadn't had a hands on experience with Android yet, and over the years I have tried many hand-held mp4 players that haven't lived up to the product description. This product is different. I recommend...

Great battery life ; Compact/Highly portable ; Very Clear Screen ; Runs wide range of media formats ; Multi-tasking

Doesn't come with a wall charger, only a USB cable. This isn't a big deal, because you can pick up your own for cheap if you want one. Charges relatively fast on computer/USB ; Wireless a 'little' weak. Not a big deal given the price
