Dell Venue 11 Pro (7139)

Dell's Venue 11 Pro (7139) is the company's top-of-the-line tablet with enterprise level security features. It's built to meet all the needs of an enterprise business, and it's our top choice for high-end business tablets.

All-day battery life. Bright, 1080p HD IPS touch display. Uses microUSB charging. Keyboard dock adds battery power. Desktop dock option. Swappable battery. Active stylus. Biometric security and TPM. Windows 8.1 Pro

Only one USB 3.0 port. No stylus storage. Limited recline angle on keyboard dock hinge. Aggressive default screen dimming

The Dell Venue 11 Pro (7139) ($1,252.37 as tested) is the top-of-the-line version of our current Editors' Choice for entry-level business slate tablets, the Dell Venue 11 Pro. The Venue 11 Pro (7139) has an upgraded ultrabook-class processor and a...

Dell Venue 11 Pro i5

The Dell Venue 11 Pro delivers an Intel Core i5 processor, versatile docking and strong security for a premium price, but it's not as fast as other hybrids in its price range.

Sturdy yet handsome design; Bright and colorful 1080p display; Long battery life with optional keyboard dock; Fingerprint and smart card reader

Performance trails closest competitors; MicroSD card access requires paperclip; Heavy with keyboard dock

Dell Venue 11 Pro review: Tablet plus accessories makes three good devices

Add the dock or the keyboard with battery to stretch this Windows tablet's capabilities as you wish.

1080p display ; Strong CPU (for a tablet) ; Great optional accessories

A little thick and heavy (for a tablet) ; Optionaly keyboard dock is nearly essential for productivity ; 2GB of memory can be limiting

Dell's Venue 11 Pro shines as a hybrid when you add its mobile keyboard and desktop docks. The Atom processor is sufficiently powerful--and power efficient--for performing day-to-day tasks all day long.

Dell Venue 11 Pro

With its great battery life, 1080p IPS screen, and flexible mobile and desktop docking systems, the Dell Venue 11 Pro slate tablet means business.

All-day battery life. Bright, 1080p HD IPS touch display. Uses microUSB charging. Optional keyboard dock adds battery power. Windows 8.1 Pro. Has desktop dock option. Swappable battery

Keyboard docks cost extra. Stylus not included. Aggressive default screen dimming. Only one USB 3.0 port

The Dell Venue 11 Pro ($499.99 direct, as tested) is a flexible slate tablet built for business. It comes with many work-oriented features, including Windows 8.1 Pro, a removable battery, and a variety of docking solutions. We looked at the entry-level...

Dell Venue 11 Pro review

PC makers seem convinced that there's a substantial market for big-screen Windows tablets that can essentially become laptops or desktops with the right accessories. HP has their ElitePad 900, with various feature-adding jackets, Lenovo outed their...

Nice 1080 IPS screen ; Solid feel ; Very configurable ; Good battery life

Much pricier than the 8-inch model ; Heavy for a tablet

Dell’s Venue 11 Pro is more configurable and business-friendly than most tablets, but the Atom-based entry-level model is expensive for what it offers.

Dell Venue 11 Pro

The Dell Venue 11 Pro offers versatile docking options and long battery life in a stylish, business-friendly design.

Elegant and sturdy design; Powerful performance; Very long battery life with optional keyboard dock; Colorful 1080p display

Relatively dim screen; microSD Card slot requires paperclip

The Dell Venue 11 Pro is a little bit tablet and a little bit ultraportable, but it's all business. For $499 you get a tablet with full Windows 8.1 (not the Surface 2's limited Windows RT) and 8 hours of battery life, in an elegant, yet eye-catching...

Dell Venue 11 Pro

One of the more ambitious ideas for Windows 8 was that it would work equally well across a wide variety of screen sizes. Not just the 13-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch laptops that previous versions of Windows were mostly found on, but also 8- and 11-inch...

The well-built Dell Venue 11 Pro has an excellent full-HD display, plenty of configuration options, and an optional keyboard and docking station. Battery life is also excellent.

That sold-separately keyboard dock suffers from occasional lag and a tiny touch pad, and even low-end configurations are more expensive than other tablets or hybrids.

Betting on a full 1080p display partly justifies the Dell Venue 11 Pro's higher price compared to other Atom-powered tablets. But the keyboard dock add-on, which should turn this into a functional laptop alternative, is too expensive and occasionally...

Review: Dell Venue 11 Pro More Versatile Than Fast

Dell's largest Windows tablet offers a wider variety of pricing and processor options than most competitors, and a replaceable battery too.

Dell Venue 11 Pro review

A Full HD Windows 8.1 tablet that's a blend for business brilliance

Hard-wearing design ; interior access ; excellent screen ; high-quality keyboard accessory ; reasonable processor

Single battery performance mediocre ; Surface Pro has a better CPU ; cheaper keyboard is poor ; heavy, bulky design ; poor speakers

Dell Venue 11 Pro review

In fact, the Dell Venue 11 Pro is actually a conventional Windows 8 tablet in the Surface mold, and it's the accessories that you choose for it that allow it to be used as a desktop or laptop system.

The screen of the Venue Pro 11 needs to be easier to turn up to proper levels, but the tablet performs well for its price and is an option for business users who want a convertible tablet with Window 8. Its battery life was also useful, making this...
