Disgo Tablet 9104

A sub-£180 tablet with a 9.7in IPS screen. Sounds like a winner, but is it one?

Aluminium rear ; High-quality IPS screen ; Fairly lightweight

No Google Play store ; Some slowdown in non-demanding apps ; Slow to charge ; Dated mini USB/power connections ; No Bluetooth

From a purely function-led perspective, the Disgo Tablet 9104 provides the goods. It comes with 16GB of internal memory - a lot at this price - and with a memory card slot on-hand, boosting that by an additional 32GB will only cost roughly £20-30.

A competent budget tablet whose party is very much spoilt by the Google Nexus 7

Disgo 9104 review

Many may write off the Disgo as a no-name brand, but the 9104 is worth a second look. It's the first budget Ice Cream Sandwich tablet that emulates the iPad's 9.7in screen. Instead of a wide aspect ratio, the 9104 has a 1024x768 capacitive IPS screen...

Well built and with a great screen, the Disgo 9104 is a good budget tablet. Don't buy one if performance is important, and don't expect a quick update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but if you want something to browse the web, check email and play the odd...

Disgo 9104 Tablet Review

There's web on offer but no Google Play support, so the Disgo 9104 is only a good choice if you want to enjoy your own media – nevertheless, it's well built for a budget device.

Solid build quality, Ice Cream Sandwich, good price, plenty of storage

Lack of Google Play support, problems with video streaming

The Disgo 9104 is well built, and offers those on a budget the opportunity to enjoy Android Ice Cream Sandwich. If you’re just looking for a budget Wi-Fi tablet for sending emails and surfing the net, this device will do the job for you. But if you...

Disgo Tablet 9104 review

You may not have heard of Disgo, but the independent technology company has been creating tablets since before the tablet-specific Honeycomb 3.2 build.

Well built,Aluminium unibody,Looks quite good,Nice display,Plenty of storage

Lacks Android functionality,No Google Play,Some stuttering,Stability issues,Proprietary charging

Would've been a decent Android tablet offering if not for the buggy Android implementation and lack of Google Play. One to avoid.

Disgo 9104 Tablet PC - 16 GB

Does everything i have asked it to do. Youtube , Facebook , email , BBC Iplayer are all available for this with a little google search. Download Skyfire browser and you can watch the bbc iplayer. There is a hack easily available online which enables...

Having to use the hack to enable google play. Even though it only takes a few minutes it would have been easier if it was already installed.
