Review Fujitsu Lifebook T900 Tablet/Convertible

A Multifunctional Convertible? According to Fujitsu, the Lifebook

Excellent input devices; Good screen with wide viewing angles; Good application performance; Extensive accessories; Communications accessories

HDMI and eSATA is not directly on the case; Emissions

Compact Convertible for Professional use, for example the Lenovo ThinkPad X200t and the Dell Latitude XT2.

3 convertible tablets that mean business

While Apple's iPad has captured the public imagination, these 3 PC tablets will help with the heavy lifting.

Good balance of battery life/performance, eSATA port, three-year warranty, controls around display

Thick case, screen doesn't lock in place, display doesn't support finger gestures, no 3G option

I used each system for two to three weeks, evaluated them side by side and used both their keyboards and pens in a work environment. I took each one with me on a short business trip, using it as my primary computer on the road.

Fujitsu LifeBook T900 Tablet PC

The Fujitsu LifeBook T900 may feature an impressive Intel Core i5 processor, but the included amounts of RAM and hard-drive capacity are weak. Also, its size is closer to a hefty laptop than a portable tablet PC. However, the large screen may be a...

The LifeBook T900 has a fast, powerful Intel Core processor and high-quality screen resolution

It has a small amount of memory and the screen is massive, hindering portability

Despite its bulk, the large screen delivers an excellent viewing experience; this is an ideal tablet PC for frequent video playback.

Fujitsu LifeBook T900 review

The 13.3-inch Fujitsu LifeBook T900 has an excellent touchscreen and is a fast performer, but its poor battery life and chunky design let it down.

Fast processor ; Great touchscreen

Big and heavy ; Poor battery life ; Pricey

The Fujitsu LifeBook T900 is a well-equipped machine with a fast processor and an excellent touchscreen. Unfortunately, it's big, heavy and awkward to use as a portable tablet. In addition, the battery life just isn't sufficient for this style of machine

Fujitsu Lifebook T900 review

An effective tablet PC, if that's what you need, but dull design and poor battery life undermine its good work.

That’s a real shame as aside from these hurdles (and its dreadfully dull styling) the Fujitsu T900 is a likeable laptop. It’s quick, well-built, and boasts a truly excellent touchscreen. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t justify the price.

Fujitsu Lifebook T900

You could forgive PC manufacturers for giving up on touchscreens altogether following the launch of the Apple iPad, but it would appear that the technology is all the rage right now. We've reviewed two all-in-one desktops – the Samsung U250 and Asus...

Great laptop + great tablet = best solution

This is an incredibly fast, solid Windows 7 laptop combined with a great fingertip-sensitive tablet which also accepts handwriting and converts it to text. I use it for word processing, spreadsheets, reading books and magazines, photo processing and...

Really fast laptop ; Great touch screen tablet ; Accepts pen input and coverts it to text ; Good battery life

A little pricey, but you get what you pay for ; A little heavy, but the screen size makes it worth it

Great laptop

Will be purchasing more

We are using these in a doctors office...we have been using Fujitsu laptops for years.....recently upgraded to these. They are very powerful laptops - we upgraded to 4GB's of ram and are also using the additional batteries that slide into the dvd...

The usual bloatware had to be removed - especially the HDD shock sensor software - it keeps resetting the hard drive if any movement detected. We removed this as the doctors walk around with them while seeing patients - no problems after having removed it

Product Specifications

The LifeBook T900 Tablet PC is not only perfect for users in the field who require the speed and ease of forms-based input and pen-driven navigation, but also for mobile professionals who want to maximize their productivity back at the office. Work without straining your eyes or your arms. The LifeBook T900 Tablet PC features a big and bright 13.3" widescreen display that's more than 20 percent bigger than a typical 12" widescreen display. The pen provides precise cursor control in any software application, including special use applications. Users can also mark up digital documents directly, annotate over images, conduct interactive presentations, sign forms, or even take handwritten notes. Use your LifeBook T900 Tablet PC in notebook mode or in tablet mode, as your needs dictate. The built-in modular bay allows you to have a second battery for full work days and plane trips without adding much weight or increasing bulk. It can also accommodate one of the modular optical drives to handle all of your digital media needs: DVD movies, audio CDs, or burning data onto CDs or DVDs. While in tablet mode, the exclusive patent pending BayLock utility automatically locks the media drive door closed and stops the drive from spinning, protecting both the drive and the media inside from accidental ejection or potential damage.
