HP Compaq Tablet PC Tc1100

Convertible Compaq operates smoothly as both tablet and notebook.

Capable of working either as a notebook or a tablet PC, the HP Compaq Tablet PC Tc1100 mostly succeeds as the ultimate convertible unit. However, those who expect to use the Tc1100 more as a tablet may be put off by its stubbornness at accepting screen...

HP Compaq Tablet PC TC1100

Small and light; long battery life; much faster than its predecessor; stylus doesn't need a battery.

Cramped detachable keyboard; docking station costs extra.

Despite its quirky, clip-on keyboard, this system is still one of our top tablet picks for the office or the home.

If we had a PC Magazine Most Improved Product of the Year Award, the HP Compaq TC1100 ($2,399 direct) would be a memorable winner. Usually, new revs of products fix only one or two of the problems we found in older versions. The TC1100 did the...

HP Compaq tc1100 Intel Pentium M 713 Processor 1.1GHz

Ah, the tablet PC. This little model packs enough punch to hold it's own as an ultra-portable laptop computer, adding the ability to use it as a table PC is the icing on this very tasty cake.

Although still on the expensive side in my books it certainly is a strong competitor as a tablet PC. It gives the power you need as well as the convenience offered by it's tablet PC interface.

"Surprise surprise!"

Though this device is pretty old, i would still consider it better than the ipad and its predecessors. hp really thought of everything, even some stuff you would even dream of thinking about, they put in/on this. Its 2012 and this is still the best...

very advanced, great size/weight/balance, great keyboard, great for art, very nice and loud speakers.

slow at times, docking station still costs lots a decade later.

"Not Bad but Not that Good either"

I Don't really know if this is over priced or low because i got this for free.

Light weight, portable, easy to handle, wi-fi ready, can be used about 1-2 hours unplugged, can be used as a eBook and etc.

extra parts pricey, a bit slow or laggy specially when viewing videos and such or doing multiple tasks, small and flimsy key board, It's a bit hard to find quadruple A batteries for the pen

"HP TC1100 Old tech-New Tech. Which is better?"

I have owned my HP TC100 for 4 years now. Bought it off eBay as my first tablet PC. It works well as a tablet and with the key board.

Better than the iPad. Nice screen size.

WiFi drops out sometimes?
