Lenovo A8 review

When you're low on cash, it doesn't get much better than a $180 tablet. Lenovo's new A series of tablets are built for buyers on a budget. The Lenovo A8 is a typical 8-inch tablet with a HD display and other mid-range specs.

Low price point of $180 ; Good for reading ; Nice, simple design

No HD display and a wide bezel ; Poor-quality back camera ; Long load time with heavy-duty apps like YouTube

Although Lenovo is marketing the A8 as a great bargain for buyers with a tight budget, it doesn’t live up to expectations. You can buy a 2013 Nexus 7 from Google for only $50 more, and you should.

Lenovo A8 Tablet

The Lenovo A8 is a well-made 8-inch Android tablet that offers a rich IPS display and long battery life for less than $200.

Sharp screen; Solid construction; Long battery life; Useful app for sharing files

Somewhat dim display; Middling graphics performance

Lenovo A8 ( blue)

With a starting price of $179, the Lenovo A8 will satisfy bargain shoppers that have basic needs. However its lack of app tray produces an unnecessarily unorganized experience.

The Lenovo A8 starts at $179 and features a comfy and lightweight build. The built-in Dolby Digital audio integration enhances the mono speaker's sound quality, and its IPS screen boasts wide-viewing angles, with deep contrast levels.

There is no app tray, and organization of menu screens can get tedious. Both rear- and front-facing cameras produce dull photos.

The Lenovo A8 is a solid, simple slate, but its lack of an app tray makes other budget options more appealing.

Lenovo A8 Review

The Lenovo A8 is an affordable Android tablet with a nice display, long battery life and design that feels nicer than the $150 price suggests. This 8-inch tablet runs Android 4.4, offers 16GB of storage and the ability to add a Micro SD card for more...

A really great tablet for the price!

If you want a good tablet but hate to spend a lot of money this i a great buy.

Amazing battery life! Will last 2 days of pretty heavy usage before I need to charge it, and then it only takes 3 hours to fully charge. Battery doesn't seem to drain when in standby. The speaker is nice and loud with good sound and very nice display....

The only real cons that I can find is the lack of an app drawer and, I like to have my apps strategically placed on my screens and every time I power the unit off and back on, they are rearranged in a straight line across the tops of the screens

I bought this tablet as a gift for my daughter to college. First thing I noticed here is it has no apps drawer button. It feel like all icons are on the home screen. Not a big issue thoughAs soon as I connected to internet I was able have a system...

Still no iPad...

Great tablet, with a solid processor for multitasking. Having said that, as the summary clearly states, it's "still no iPad."

Awesome tab

This tablet is awesome!! It gives you more freedom to do stuff than an I pad plus you can upgrade the memory with a micro sd card. Over all this is a good buy.

Really like this tablet for the money. Is easy to navigate and I love the size. The only drawback for me is the control buttons. They are not easily accessible once I put the tablet in a case. This product is... Good sound quality, easy to set up,...

perfect size/weight

side control buttons are not easily accessible
