Nokia 770

Nokia's ambitious attempt to miniaturize the wireless Web satisfies, until you try to do a few things at once.

Wi-Fi access for relatively fast browsing Bright, high-resolution display • Handwriting recognition built in • Very good e-mail client

Weak multimedia performance Not a good multitasker • A little buggy

Nokia's Small, Svelte, Internet-Savvy PDA

Internet Tablet has a great screen, but the included software is lacking.

Nokia 770 Internet Tablet

The aforementioned cover might seem like an annoyance at first, especially when you realize that it adds extra bulk to the Nokia 770. It's reversible, however, so you can slide it over the backside of the device without worrying about misplacing it....

The Nokia 770 boasts a gorgeous, high-resolution screen that makes stunning Web pages. It has a full-featured Web browser and an e-mail client, plus it supports Internet radio and RSS newsfeeds. The 770 is attractive, easy to use, and great at...

The Nokia 770 suffers from extremely sluggish operation, with most movies and Flash animations too slow to be useful, and it relies only on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for connectivity. Unfortunately, VoIP and instant-messaging features have not yet been...

The reasonably priced Nokia 770 is a neat idea and a slick device, but slow performance and a few missing features keep it from realizing its potential.

Nokia 770

The Nokia 770 could be the start of a great thing. Though it's rough around the edges, this could be a terrific little Internet-surfing gadget once Nokia shakes out the bugs.

Convenient way to Web-surf at home. Awesome screen. Solid design. Good battery life

Buggy. No hard keyboard. Video player is picky. Text can be very small

Though its many bugs may cause average consumers dismay, early adopters and developers will love this product.

Nokia 770 internet tablet sees Nokia veer into non-phone territory

Props to Nokia for totally rescuing a slow news day by dropping this in our laps: the Nokia 770 looks sort of like a tricked out 7710, but the crazy thing is, it's not a phone. It's an internet appliance aimed squarely at your living room, designed to...

The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet Review

The Nokia N800 has been introduced at CES and all of the talk on the Linux based device websites has been about this new device. While I don't have a N800 yet, I do have a Nokia 770 Internet Tablet and Judie has asked me to write my thoughts about it...

Nokia 770 Wi-Fi Tablet

The Linux-based 770 measures 5.5 x 3.1 x 0.7 inches and weighs in at 8.1 ounces., so it's a fairly weighty device. You won't get it in a pants pocket; it's definitely a messenger bag kind of gadget. The reason for the size is the gorgeous 800 by 480...

If you're looking for a way to bring surfing or e-mailing to the couch as you watch TV, or you need a way for the kids to get online without tying up your computer, the 770 makes sense. But its limited features will mean that it's not a good fit for many

Nokia's Tiny 770 Has No Cell Phone And Runs Linux

Nokia's Tiny OS-upgraded 770 delivers the same great screen and adds IM, VOIP and extended virtual memory. We assess the upgrade and the 770 itself.

It's impossible to fit the Nokia 770 into a neat category; think of it as a shrunken Linux notebook with a touch screen instead of a keyboard and you'll see the potential and the drawbacks of this innovative device. Even with the new Internet Tablet OS...
