The second-gen 10.1 is a good enough Android 4.0 tablet with a pleasing, lightweight design and decent battery life. Still, its performance and feature set trail tablets that cost the same or even less.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is the same flagship tablet Samsung released a year ago, but this time around it has the latest version of Android and a lower price tag. With mediocre performance and aging components, there are better alternatives.

More affordable than its predecessor. Ships with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Adds a microSD slot. Sharp, bright screen.
