Review Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T310 Tablet

Tab, the third. Samsung has something for everyone in its tablet

High 3D performance; Good performance in Internet browsing; Fast memory; Good color reproduction; Bright display; Extensive software package; Numerous input options; Good battery life; Proper speakers

Blue tint of the display; Mediocre processor performance; Plastic case; Case temperatures are a bit high; Relatively high price; Bloatware

Samsung know very well how to optimize its SoC for browsing performance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 offers little in the form of innovation, but for a competitive price, you get a reliable mid-sized Android tablet.

Smooth performance. Runs Android 4.4. Affordable for 8-inch display

Outdated display. Anemic speaker and cameras

For a company willing to try just about anything with its phone division, Samsung has remained unusually uninventive when it comes to its mainstream tablet line. Though undeniably successful, thanks in large part to Samsung's outsized marketing budget,...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review

For all intents and purposes, eight inches is the new sweet spot for tablets. We've so far seen a few hits with this form factor, the Samsung Galaxy Note

Crisp, bright display ; Slim design ; Runs Android 4.2

Glitchy performance ; Unremarkable compared to competitors

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 features a nice display and a slim design, but it's otherwise a forgettable device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (8-inch) review

Third time is a charm. Samsung has been playing the tablet game for years now, and it's finally getting the mix right. There are three new Galaxy Tabs this year: a 7-inch, an 8-inch, and a 10.1-inch. The most promising of the bunch is the $300 Galaxy...

Beautiful display ; Comfortable, attractive design ; Smooth performance ; Long battery life ; Standard micro USB port

Speakers easily covered by hands ; So-so camera

The Galaxy Tab 3 line family are priced reasonably and offer a great Android tablet experience in every way you'd expect. We prefer the 8-inch model.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is an excellent Android tablet that can multitask and serve as a universal remote, but it doesn't quite stand out.

Well-built, thin and light design. Android 4.2.2. Excellent display. Solid Wi-Fi. Acts as a universal remote

Relatively expensive. Finicky touch screen

Samsung tries to make a product for everyone: every size, every price, every feature. The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 ($299.99) tries to hit the sweet spot for small tablets, but ends up straddling an uncomfortable fence—more expensive than the Google Nexus 7,...

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 delivers full 8-inch screen action on July 7 for $299

It costs a bit more than we'd like, but the Galaxy Tab 3 is Samsung's best non-Note tablet yet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3's light, comfortable design, myriad useful features, and bright colorful screen makes the 8-incher one of the best small tablets on the market

A price of $300 is a lot for any small tablet, and some features like Smart Stay and Watch On’s search don’t work as well as intended

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Review

With the mid-sized tablet in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 series you're getting the only device on the market to go to war with the similarly-sized Galaxy Note. For Samsung it would appear easy to create so many device sizes that there's got to be one...

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is a fine upgrade from what's been offered at this size range by the manufacturer in past generations. While the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 bests this tablet in essentially every area save its smaller bezel, the Galaxy Tab 3...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review: Middle of everywhere

In their third generation, the Galaxy Tab series by Samsung are finally coming to terms with playing second fiddle to the Notes. The S-Pen and the processing power are, at this point, the main dividing line between mainstream and premium, but the gap...

8.0" 16M-color LCD capacitive touchscreen of 800 x 1280 pixel resolution ; Android OS v4.2.2 with TouchWiz ; 1.5 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU, Mali-400MP GPU, 2GB of RAM, Exynos 4212 Dual chipset ; 5 MP autofocus camera with face detection ; 720p HD...

Speakers at the bottom (portrait), rather than front-facing on either side ; No NFC support ; No FM Radio ; Questionable still image and video recording quality

This year's update of the Galaxy Tab series makes room for an 8" tablet and it looks like a logical decision by Samsung to build on the momentum of the Note 8.0. You lose the S-pen and two CPU cores but you get slimmer bezels and lighter weight - some...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1 review

Samsung has no idea what size Android device you want but, by golly, it's going to find out. Throughout its massive Galaxy lineup, Samsung has hedged its bets on almost every possible device size in an attempt to appeal to as wide an audience as possible.

Thin and light ; Solid battery life

Problematic performance ; Missing a few obviously useful features ; Utterly without unique features

There's no reason to buy this tablet over any other
