Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1

One of Samsung's best 10-inch slates yet, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, delivers a packed feature set and a trim design, but its variable performance, particularly when multitasking, makes it more like a rookie than a pro.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is lightweight and comfortable to use, with a stylishly thin design that provides sufficient grip support. Performance is fast for simple tasks and it includes a ton of software perks.

$499 is an expensive starting price for any tablet. When multi-tasking, performance significantly lags with random freezes and unexplainable app crashes.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 delivers everything casual tablet users will need, but it's all tied down to an inflated price tag that makes comparable options more attractive to budget-conscious shoppers.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 review: Pros and gones

Samsung is trying hard to diversify its tablet lineup and bring a little something for everyone to the market. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is the middle child of the premium segment, or as a more succinct description would put it a Galaxy Note tablet...

10.1" 16M-color Super Clear PLS capacitive touchscreen of 2560 x 1600 resolution ; Wi-Fi only model: Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7, Mali-T628MP6 GPU; Exynos 5420 chipset ; LTE model: quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400, Adreno 330...

Expensive ; No NFC ; No DivX and AC3 codec support out of box

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is part of the new Tab Pro family and while the Tab Pro 12.2 and Tab Pro 8.4 bring something new to the table, the 10.1" member of the line feels a rehash of the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014).

Review: Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1

Most of Samsung's recent tablets have been decidedly mid-range. Mediocre screen resolution, budget processors, plastic builds ... these qualities have gone hand-in-hand with just about all of the company's tablet efforts. But 2014 is a different story,...

The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is available now from a variety of retailers, including the product page below.

Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 review: “Pro” in name only

Samsung's newest midrange tablet is a big leap over its predecessor's hardware. Find out how its software holds it back in our Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 review.

Crisp, colorful screen ; Powerful chipset ; Bundled software adds value ; Good battery life

Magazine UX undercooked ; Major deficiencies even in standard UI ; Lengthy charge time

It’s fortunate for the Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 that review scores aren’t determined solely by software, because it’s tough to overstate just how underwhelming we find the new Magazine UX. This device’s powerful hardware is just no match for the overwrought...

Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 10.1

The Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 doesn't compromise anything in terms of its display or specs. Like the TabPRO 12.2 and NotePRO 12.2 tablets, this device offers a screen resolution of 2560x1600. While it provides excellent sharpness, most reviewers don't...

Samsung Galaxy TabPro 10.1 review

Samsung is certainly no stranger to tablets. But you might be left scratching your head and wondering what's what given how many model numbers and sizes are available throughout its ranges.

Excellent display, lots of power, Android & Samsung software works well, decent battery life, multi-tasking options

Expensive, that faux leather and plastic build, software approach "doubles up" access approach

Of all the "Pro" Samsung tablets, the Galaxy TabPro 10.1 is among our favourites. It's just the right scale, is slim and light, yet packs plenty of power in too.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro 10.1 review

We're not sure what the TabPro 10.1 has more of - pixels or freebies. But does it offer pro performance?

What a screen Magazine UX + business freebies = gold Light for a 10in tab

No S Pen Performance stutters Google Play still lets 10in tablets down

One serious screen and the smartest extras we’ve seen on an Android tablet, but the TabPro just isn’t quite slick enough
