Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1

One of Samsung's best 10-inch slates yet, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, delivers a packed feature set and a trim design, but its variable performance, particularly when multitasking, makes it more like a rookie than a pro.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is lightweight and comfortable to use, with a stylishly thin design that provides sufficient grip support. Performance is fast for simple tasks and it includes a ton of software perks.

$499 is an expensive starting price for any tablet. When multi-tasking, performance significantly lags with random freezes and unexplainable app crashes.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 delivers everything casual tablet users will need, but it's all tied down to an inflated price tag that makes comparable options more attractive to budget-conscious shoppers.

The Galaxy Tab Pro middle child

Bright, hi-res screen ; Powerful processor ; Slim, light design

Convoluted Magazine UX ; Cheaper plastic feel

Samsung Galaxy TabPro 10.1 review

Samsung is certainly no stranger to tablets. But you might be left scratching your head and wondering what's what given how many model numbers and sizes are available throughout its ranges.

Excellent display, lots of power, Android & Samsung software works well, decent battery life, multi-tasking options

Expensive, that faux leather and plastic build, software approach "doubles up" access approach

A 10-inch Android tablet with serious business ambition

Solid build ; Sharp screen ; Decent camera

Some performance issues ; Not the prettiest tablet

You might expect searing brightness from a tablet whose screen architecture is based around supplying good backlight efficiency. But top brightness is merely ‘good’ – enough for 95 per cent of uses.

We're not sure what the TabPro 10.1 has more of - pixels or freebies. But does it offer pro performance?

What a screen Magazine UX + business freebies = gold Light for a 10in tab

No S Pen Performance stutters Google Play still lets 10in tablets down

One serious screen and the smartest extras we’ve seen on an Android tablet, but the TabPro just isn’t quite slick enough

A lovely high-resolution screen and some useful productivity features, but the Tab Pro's performance is disappointing

On paper, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 seems to be an excellent alternative to the expensive Galaxy Note; it has the same high-resolution display and processor, and if you don’t need the Note's stylus you'll appreciate the £100 discount. We love the...

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro hands-on review: CES 2014

Samsung has announced a range of new tablets at CES 2014. Here's our hands-on review of the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 tablet from Las Vegas.

We like what Samsung has done with the Galaxy Tab Pro in terms of hardware but the software is barely recognisable as Android 4.4 KitKat. This leaves us somewhat unsure about the device so stay tuned for a full review.

A 10in business tablet capable of challenging Apple's iPad Air

Robust security, decent application offering, good display, reasonable camera by tablet standards

No S Pen, uses previous generation processor

While we still favour the more expensive £650 Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, believing that its larger screen and S Pen make it slightly better for productivity, for those on a budget we'd definitely recommend the cheaper £325 Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 LTE - A Non-stylus Note Striving to be Pro

Recently, there has been a trend in pushing devices tailored for the enterprise market space. Samsung's new Galaxy Tab Pro series of tablets panders towards this market space as a step below the Note series, but does it deliver? We take the Galaxy Tab ...

Very light and thin; Superb display; Enterprise-level apps bundled out of the box

Designed for enterprise, but is better suited for content consumption; Portrait handling hampered by Home button; Stutters observed, more so in multi-tasking; High price

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 review

Samsung seems to be hell bent on producing a device for everypossible niche and demographic at the moment, and it's starting toget just a little bit confusing. Just to remind you, the Tab is thetablet without the stylus (the one with is the Note) and...

Terrific screen, powerful processor, slim and sturdy build

On the pricey side, microUSB 2.0

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 expands the size of the original8.4 for an extra £100 or so. It looks good, works fast and comeswith a few new interface tweaks. Otherwise, it's much the same, andchoosing between the two will simply depend on the size...
