Storage Options Scroll Extreme 9.7-inch tablet review

The Scroll Extreme 9.7-inch Tablet PC may not have the slickest name, or an awe inspiring spec sheet, but its modest price-tag makes it an option for those looking for a cheap ticket to the ICS party.

Nippy performance ; Untouched Ice Cream Sandwich OS ; MicroSD expansion ; Cheap

2MP camera ; Poor screen ; Crashes frequently

Storage Options Scroll 7-inch Tablet

If the Storage Options Scroll 7-inch Tablet had been priced at £70, then we could sympathise with its limitations. On the plus side, the design and build quality isn't too bad.

Good build quality ; Mini-HDMI port

Sluggish performance ; Limited apps ; Browser crashes quite often ; Very slow start-up time ; Battery life

To conclude, we just can't think why you would buy this tablet, as the price precludes it even being a budget purchase. If you want a 7-inch tablet to do the absolute basics, then this will suffice, but we'd recommend spending an extra £100 for a...

Storage Options Scroll Excel review

Android tablets just keep getting cheaper, and Storage Options' latest is one of the least expensive we've seen. The Scroll Excel is a follow-up to last year's £145 Scroll 7in Tablet PC (see What's New, Shopper 283), and is £15 cheaper. It's not that...

The Scroll Excel has potential, once you get the Android Market installed, and its HDMI output and USB host are welcome features, but the hardware is disappointing

A budget Android tablet with a 1GHz processor and 7in screen.

Good performance and reliability ; Decent build ; Excellent video support

Poor screen ; No Android Market pre-installed

Storage Options Scroll review

The Scroll sits in a solid aluminium case and tips the scales at 440g, but feels much more than 30g heavier than the Playbook. It is powered by a 1GHz Telechips processor and has 2GB of flash memory to draw upon, with supplementary storage possible via...

We really wish Storage Options had paid attention to ensuring the usability of the Scroll, as the hardware has potential and the inclusion of an HDMI-out port for hooking it up to a large-screen TV is appealing. Unfortunately, barely anything we tried...

Storage Options Scroll 7

Cheap and cheerful needn't mean useless when it comes to tablets

Well built; cheap; fits into a pocket

Crashed a little too often; doesn't run proper apps; poor camera; not much storage

Other tablet computers are much better, but for the money this one performed reasonably well

Storage Options Scroll 7in Tablet PC review

The Scroll is by far the cheapest Android tablet we've seen. It has Android 2.3, an HDMI output for 1080p video and a variety of features and applications you'd expect to find on a tablet, such as Facebook, email, Amazon's Kindle app and a web browser.

A cheap but very flawed Android tablet

Storage Options miScroll

A 7in tablet for £120. Budget bliss or Android agony?

Excellent video codec support

Poor screen quality ; No Android Market ; Resisitive touchscreen

The Storage Options miScroll tablet may be one of the cheapest Android tablets around, but the penny-saving cuts make it too much of a chore to use. The resistive touchscreen, mediocre display and lack of the Android Market drain the fun out of what...

A 7in capacitive tablet for only £160? We find out if Storage Options' budget tablet is worth its salt

The specs look good and so does the price, but this tablet is slow, sluggish and generally horrible to use. Avoid
