mSATA SSDs in Comparison: Adata XPG SX300 vs. Runcore Pro V

Fast, small mass storage devices. We compare two SSDs with mSATA interfaces. Both of them feature a SandForce controller and synchronous MLC-NAND from Intel. Our test reveals why the Adata XPG SX300 (128 GB) and the Runcore Pro V (120 GB) are...

Even if the SandForce SF-2281VB2 does not significantly improve the performance, it has a big advantage: The significantly lower power consumption while idle, increases battery runtimes

Review Toshiba Excite Pro AT10LE-A-108 Tablet

With Tegra 4 to the top? All good things are worth waiting for: N

Very fast SoC; 802.11ac-WLAN; MicroSD slot; Extremely high display resolution; Good main camera; Powerful speakers

Strong heat development; Throttling and stability problems; Only 12 months of warranty; Relatively thick

Already a few months old but technically speaking still up to date are the competitors Google Nexus 10, Apple iPad 4 and Sony Xperia Tablet Z. Alternatives with Windows are, for example, the Dell XPS 10 or the Microsoft Surface RT.

Toshiba Excite Pro

I could easily forgive the Toshiba Excite Write for failing to breach much new ground in the stylus tablet department, but its $600 price is the ultimate deal breaker. There just isn't enough offered here -- whether in performance or features -- to...

Writing on the Toshiba Excite Write's screen feels fluid and smooth, and I love the useful eraser button. It also boasts an incredibly sharp screen and includes storage expansion via microSD.

There are few useful stylus features and no built-in pocket for the pen. The screen at times becomes completely unresponsive.

Though it doesn't have any glaring problems, $600 is way too much for a tablet that fails to stand out in any significant way.

Toshiba Excite Pro Review

Toshiba's high-end Excite Pro delivers zippy Tegra 4 performance and a Retina-like display, but it still trails more feature-rich competitors in terms of design and battery life.

Beautiful high-res display; Great speakers; Speedy performance; Superior graphics

Camera doesn't focus in video mode; Lacks multitasking; Poor outdoor viewing

Toshiba's high-end Excite Pro delivers zippy Tegra 4 performance and a Retina-like display, but it still trails more feature-rich competitors in terms of design and battery life.

Toshiba Excite Pro

Toshiba Excite Pro is a 10.1-inch tablet with 2560x1600 pixels touchscreen, super-fast NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, 8-megapixel camera, while Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is running the show.

Verizon 4G LTE network is incredibly fast, 32GB microSD card included, Integrated kickstand works in portrait and landscape

Battery life is among the worst weve ever seen, No 4G LTE power toggle option, Kickstand in landscape orientation blocks microUSB port

Toshiba Excite Pro review

A Tegra 4 powerhouse, sure, but don't get too excited about the Excite Pro. You won't want to buy this tablet.

"We're not exactly sure why things are this way, but they are, and the experience is bad. Really bad." As much as I hate to say it, I can't recommend anyone rush out to spend $500 on the Excite Pro. The great screen, exceptional build materials and...

Toshiba Excite Pro hands-on review

Toshiba has announced a trio of new Android tablets including the Excite Pro. Check out our Toshiba Excite Pro hands-on review.

The Excite Pro seems like a reasonable effort from Toshiba offering some great hardware for less than the cheapest iPad. However, the Nexus 10 is the thorn in its side offering essentially the same tablet for less money. Stay tuned for our full review...

Toshiba Excite Pro Review: Hands On

One of the first Nvidia Tegra 4-powered devices ever, the Excite Pro offers powerful hardware, a stunning screen and great connectivity.

The Pro looks nearly identical to its less powerful sibling with the exception of a few minor cosmetic tweaks and utilises a full plastic textured backing which although functional isn’t as pretty as the likes of the Xperia Tablet Z or the iPad....
