Toshiba always lives down to my expectations

Should have spent the additional $100 for an i-Pad! Thank you Toshiba for another unpleasant user experience.

small and light. Fairly responsive, and good size. auto upgrade to ICS

1 yr and 3 months into ownership without heavy use, like Words with Friends and Kindle books, the external camera ceased to function s did the audio and the flash just decided to stay on all the time, which not only creates a serious drain on the...

Nice tablet, old software

I got it open-box from Newegg, so it might not show as a "verified owner". Still, I did buy it from Newegg. :D

1280x800 screen ; great viewing angles ; 16GB of storage AND micro SD ; micro HDMI output ; Responsive interface ; Front and rear camera ; The high-DPI of the screen has to be seen to be believed. Previously this was the only 7" tab with such a...

Stuck on Honeycomb ; Stupid proprietary charger connection ; Toshiba has pushed back and pushed back their ICS update date, and there has been no discussion about Jelly Bean. If you want timely updates, you should probably go with ASUS tablets as...

Love, Love, Love the Tohsiba Thrive

I bought this for my daughter's final year in high school and I'm looking for one for myself now. This is a snappy little tablet. It's got great speed and you can add memory via a SD card. Books, pictures, videos and music can all be stored out on the...

Memory expansion through SD cards (up to 126GB) ; Full USB port for ease of transfer of data ; Beautiful screen quality ; Ease of adding an extra battery

frustrating beyond belief

Nice size

I can't get this thing to do mUch despite hours of trying ; I should have quit trying to make it do anything useful before the 30 days were up, but I went on vacation for 4 weeks and worked with it ony occasionally. Instruction manual? HA HA.. found...

power in the palm

Fedex left the box on my front porch, on a busy street, in the rain. I had been checking the tracking number all day, I knew they were coming. I was checking every fifteen minutes, the front door was open, there were three adults home. Now I do commend...

Tegra processor, 16 gb on board, $30 less than anywhere else ; Heavy and solid, the best 7" tablet out there

Lots of updates, took almost 40 minutes till I got to download the stuff I wanted

Liked it But.....

If you buy you might want to consider the the warranty with damage coverage. If it covers drops and broken screens. The fix buy toshiba is almost as much as the thrive itself. :/

Great little tablet. Good with most apps. Price is very ; competitive. Liked it while it lasted

Bad design of the rubber around the screen. Should have been wraped around to the face. First drop will probably be you last

LOVE This Tablet!

I did a lot of research over three weeks to first decide between an e-reader and a full android tablet, then between this and a Galaxy Tab 7 Plus (I've drooled over the Samsung product since I first got to play with one 18 months ago). But for $20...

Outstanding display; good touch screen response; comfortable to hold for long periods; feels light but not "cheap

Camera location? (if I had to pick a con at gunpoint...)

underated

I got a 7" toshiba thrive through an open-box sale. I'm not convinced that taking a netbook, removing the keyboard and all expandable, making it pretty jewelry makes it work three times as much. I vomit at the idea of paying $500+ for such crippled...

Gorgeous display ; micro-sdhc

can only be charged using $35 toshiba cables through docking port ; led always blinks

A Solid Competitor!

Another reviewer appears to have misplaced his review. The 7 inch Thrive does NOT have full size SDHC or full size HDMI. It has microHDMI and miniUSB and microSDHC ports. Please take note.

This little 7 inch tablet is a darned good buy. It feels quite substantial in the hand, the display is excellent, processor and memory are sufficient for most needs. Anyone already familiar with Android devices will feel immediately at home. Those who...

Two right off the bat: the docking connector and the miniUSB port ; Why Toshiba chose such a massive, clunky, ungainly power connector simply evades me. Even standard USB would've been smaller. This is simply a poor design choice ; Secondly, why a...
