Velocity Micro Cruz T410

Editors' note: On October 31, 2011, Velocity Micro provided a firmware update to the Cruz T408 and T410 tablets as an optional download from its Web site. The following review reflects this update.

The Velocity Micro Cruz T410 has capable tablet hardware at a great price.

The design is bulky, the dim screen has some bad viewing angles, and the T410 doesn't have Google Mobile apps or Android Market.

The Velocity Micro Cruz T410 exists in an awkward space between full-fledged Android tablets and the walled garden of the Kindle Fire. What freedom it affords is spoiled by a poor screen and uninspired design.

Velocity Micro Cruz T410 review - Liliputing

But what happens when you take the same approach toward producing a tablet with a 10 inch display? It turns out you still get a decent tablet… but the overall package isn’t quite as compelling

Velocity Micro Cruz T410 tablet will run Gingerbread

The 8-inch version of the Velocity Micro Cruz may well be in line for some good pre-order bookings but the real attention is all driven toward the larger, 10-inch T410. This Android tablet will include a Samsung Cortex A-8 processor, Android...

less then it seems.

Ultimately I find this product a hit or miss if you get lucky and open a box that has a function piece of equipment and have limited needs this might be the tablet for you but if your looking for high functionality and easy to contact customer support...

The pros are it has a nice display and easy to use and update manually

Tech support impossible to get in touch with. networking issues when trying to use the built in amazon app, well as You Tube, with browser functioning properly. speakers are poor but that is the same with most tablets. No android Market

"Lukewarm software, room temp support and cold service."

[Velocity makes PC's, tablets and many other products. I've had issues, to say the least. All I want from them is acknowledgement and reparation. This is the final letter I posted to Velocity Micro. By this time, I had dealt with them for a week. I was...

Great price, large screen.

Buggy software and firmware. Doomed to eventually stop working with little-to-no (and even negative) tech support.

"Great tablet for the price."

For the price, it is a good deal. If you want a good 10" tablet but don't want to spend a lot for it, this is a good one. If you are expecting it to be an Ipad, buy an Ipad...

Fast, fast, fast.... I did not expect it to have the speed it does. Netflix works great on it as does the amazon market.

The single rear speaker is not very loud (invest in headphones).

"Not bad but not great."

Got as a christmas present. Being a "techie" and owning a DROID2 phone i figured i could jump right in on this tablet. 2 HUGE downsides i picked up on off the bat were no hdmi output and no android market app. Maybe not such a big deal to others but...

Simplistic....easy to use.

Lacking many major features.....that were important to me anyways.

"I was pleasantly surprised."

I am still discovering things about it. But I believe it is a good tablet.

I wanted a cheaper tablet to keep in my nightstand to read, I did not want to carry my IPad 2 back and forth. Pros I like are, Adobe flash, kindle, and the sd micro card slot. It is not a cllosed system. I am happy with the price of $199.

The picture is ok for my needs, I watch movies, but also watch on my latrger iPad. I do not like the email app, it has no search on it and I can not seem to get my you tube app linked to my channel. I go to the sites directly to avoid those apps

The Worst Warranty!!

Purchased a Cruz Tablet T105, had a problem with the battery. They don't carry replacement batteries when the item is older than one year. Mine was only eleven months old. They were going to replace the tablet under warranty with proof of purchase,...
